This is the worst timeline because I can buy ridiculous media tie-in action figures on a whim now, and it seems like no one’s making them for the genre shows/flicks I’m watching.
Goshdarnit, in my day, Playmates would have given us figures of every single character on Picard and Discovery by now, along with sleeveless Elnor and monochrome Data variants.

I’ve been watching X-Men Days of Future Past (The Rogue Cut) as I didn’t have enough time travel fuckery with Endgame obviously. The Rogue cut is a better version, not just because it has Rogue, who was always my favourite, but that little mention of Peter having another sister (Wanda) besides the baby one.
All the X men movies are a hot mess, more or less. We don’t talk about some of them, but watching Peter’s power just makes me angry for how dirty they did him in aou. I mean they could have done so much. Hell he could have been alive and become a villain for Wanda and the team to go against later. Follow in dad’s footsteps as it were.
At least the time travel in it makes more sense than endgame, which still makes my head spin. I did love much of Endgame and I will watch it again, not so much the very end as I hate that they didn’t reset the five years and all the billions of deaths that happened in the days and moments after the snap. That there is shitty writing, thank fuck for fanfic, eh?
Anyway I think I want to think about Earth-2012 or the rest of the multiverse instead. I don’t know what exactly, and you know my focus doesn’t last long for big stories, but I want to play around with different verses. Different possibilities and altered worlds. Pietro lives! Frigga lives. Nat never had the hots for Bruce. Because fuck you, Whedon, that’s why. Jane as goddess of thunder (and Darcy accidentally taking over because why the fuck not?). Peggy dancing with Steve in the 1970s and telling him she loves him, like she loves her first husband but she’s in a committed relationship with Angie, the movie star, now.
Dumb ass stupid tropes filled with sass and possibly more credibility than the comics nazi and twincest kink aus. But yanno whatever. Time travel isn’t real and I don’t have to play by canon rules. I can love the movies and still be salty about plot holes before fixing the fuckers in fic or just in headcanon conversations.

If you could copy and paste Rami Malek’s performance (and 80% of the musical sequences) into a better film with a better script, better direction, better acting, better risks and far better accuracy...
