this man knows how Joan of Arc felt.

I tried a new method of shading, idk how it makes me feel. I've been trying to do some art with more effort put into it, though, so i spent multiple hours shading this armour for you.

i hate that all characters have to be good people in your fics or you're seen as messed up for writing them that way.

Writing Garroth with (canon) racial prejudice because of how he was raised, it's not okay but it is PRESENT, and other characters think he's an asshole for it, and he does get better but it never truly goes away. He'll help make sure other kids don't get the same Biases he was brought up with, but he will always be slightly more inclined to hang out with someone from Ru'Aun than Tu'La, even if he's not aware of it.

(^ The racism is canon btw, ignored bc its an s3 thing but this guy full of says 'lmao I don't trust him because he's Tu'Lan' and I stared in disbelief at that minecraft man)

Writing Laurence who has genuine problems with other people's boundaries and will cross them, even if he knows what they are (canon, if ignored). Again, he gets better, but getting better doesn't undo anything or make it completely go away. If anything, he replaces it too much with resentment and anger due to the calling, making him, in some ways, worse.

(^ literally canon, but i promise you, if i made a hc post including Laurence being pushy about breaking past people's boundaries, someone would get pissed off about it)

Don't even get me started on making characters DEGRADE as a story goes along. Not everyone improves, and improvement often isn't linear. Watch Zenix descend further into madness before realising that Shad is just as corrupt as the Lord system he's been fighting to dismantle. Watch Dante go from cheerful and young to bitter and old(er), he's not a bad person for it, but his loyalty cost him a good life and it may have paid off in the end, but those were still fifteen years he could never get back. His loyalty is praised but he still wonders what kind of life he could have if he'd just... given up, and taken his family somewhere nice where they didn't have to worry about if they'd be able to eat, or if bandits were going to come and ruin what little they had going.

I want to write morally AAA characters, but someone always makes a problem with it and I just....... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa
