People are assholes, and at the end of the day, when they think nobody is looking, they always revert to their true natures. Dane knows it to his core, there’s really no way around it. That being said, it isn’t very often he gets the opportunity to sort of showcase that in the sense that he does today, his height vantage of nearly 6′3 making it easy for him to see over the hustle and bustle of the crowd. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case for one small woman in particular, and with the mass amounts of humans masking every scent to him aside from their own, he finds making a beeline towards her to be more ‘good Samaritan’ than anything else.

When he reaches her side, he touches her elbow lightly with her fingertips. “You look about three seconds from being trampled. Mind if I step in? I promise crowds just part before me --- couldn’t say why.” A roguish grin lights up his features. Nobody’s ever called him chivalrous before, but perhaps they could start now.
