you have cordially been invited to a fourth of july dinner hosted by the hale family. the semi formal event will celebrate the national holiday with an incredible dinner menu curated by wolfgang puck. it is encouraged to rsvp as well as include allergy information a week prior. the event will collect donations in support of the aclu as the hale family are contributors to the cause. finally, the event will conclude with a unique firework show.

our first event will begin on saturday june 30th at 2:30 PM PST to friday july 6th. however, the event in-game will only be one day. this event is fairly simple as we don’t have anything intense planned that would affect the dash greatly --- but if you’d like to spark some ic drama of your own you’re encouraged to do so ! here are a few tips in order to make this event successful as well as a few guidelines:
use to tag rush.fourth for event starters as we wouldn’t want it to cloud our normal starter tag, in other words please do not use the normal starter tag. you may tag your character’s outfits by using the tag rush.fashion !
plot beforehand. about a few days before the event starts so you know exactly what you’re in for. also be sure to plot with new muns instead of the muns you already have plots with. the goal for events isn’t only to mix up the dash but also encourage plotting with new people.
stick to short starters that won’t take as long to complete. it’s also less overwhelming !
place non event threads on hold. it’s not mandatory to participate in the event but we would suggest putting non event threads on hold only to prioritize event threads --- this, of course is optional and just a suggestion.

hey guys it’s anakin and i want to address something that’s been bothering me lately. we’ve been incredibly lenient when it comes down to activity which is generous given that we’ve only been open for a few days. however, i have to stick to the rules that were instituted in this roleplay and this is --- we will not be accepting hiatuses or “breaks” until two weeks of the roleplay being established. while i understand that we all have personal lives, some busier than others it is important to create a sustaining roleplay with active members before providing hiatuses/breaks. because of this, we’re going to enforce this rule and stay true to it. if you find yourself busy or overwhelmed with your personal life and unable to come online. i strongly suggest asking for an unfollow and re-applying when you have time in the future. in my experience, it’s important that we create an active base early on in order for a roleplay to survive. i hope you can understand where i’m going from with this concern. it’s not my intention to call out anyone specific or to come off as a total hardass. we just found ourselves straying from our rules and it’s important that i stay true to them as they were created for a reason. those who have been granted breaks will be messaged immediately and given a reasonable amount of time to contact us before being unfollowed. please be sure to like this post once you have read it, thank you.

ooc interactions will begin on FRIDAY JUNE 22nd at 3:30 PM PST. with the follow page made public you will be able to follow your fellow members as well as post your introduction, wanted plots, and message other people to plot. please take advantage of this time not only to post your introduction but get to know everyone and plot with as many people as you possible can.
ic interactions will begin the same day at 4:00 PM PST. a post will be made to signal that ic interactions have begun. please wait for this post to be made before you begin interaction ! for this day only , we will be waving the “reply to three starters before posting your own” rule --- however this doesn’t mean you should ignore it completely. be sure to reply to everyone and make rush feel like home for all the roleplayers !
ooc / discord chat ? currently our only form of ooc interaction is through the rush.ooc tag but it is possible that we could make a discord server . if you’d think a server would be a good idea . please vote here ! please remember , at the end of the day joining the server will not be required.

manning down an entire children’s birthday party is literally the worst thing, 10/10 would not recommend. anyway, i’m gonna work on an activity sweep as well as that admin note that was promised earlier. in the meantime why not do an honesty evening / meme event thing again ? as always this post needs at least ten notes for it to happen !
hello everybody , we spent all of last night reviewing the pieces of advice we were given that was asked for in our previous post . we just want to give a huge thank you to everyone who sent something in , anon or not . after much deliberation we came up with a few ideas to give rush that energy kick ,
HOSTED EVENTS: our last event was hosted by the hale family but we don’t want them to always host an event, right ? not all events will be hosted but we’d like to give people a chance to host their own events. to be more specific, if your muse has a birthday, business opening, engagement party, wedding, baby shower, etc, etc coming up anytime let us know if you’d like to have an event centered around it. the page and further information about hosted events can be found here. just to be fair, we’re going to start accepting hosted events tomorrow so everyone gets a chance to see this note.
AU EVENTS, POSSIBLY: we like to keep things as realistic as possible but sometimes we like to have a little fun. au events will most likely be things like natural disasters, or fun halloween gags ( kind of like halloween episodes in sitcoms ) this is still a work in progress and will probably happen a little later down the line. we just think it would be a fun thing to do !
SET MEME / HONESTY HOUR DAYS: instead of doing it at random , meme events will happen every wednesday. a note will be made on the main to signal the meme event as usual .
OOC MEME DAYS: so every sunday we thought it would be fun to have an ooc meme day. this is basically a day where we send each other ooc memes. this could help us get to know each other more and boost friendships. we’d also like to use this as a way to spread good vibes so everyone here feels welcomed and appreciated.
FAMILY CAPS: this is not a family roleplay but rather a simple town roleplay. we do have a few families in the group already and that’s great ! but we don’t want them to be overrun by them. because of this issue, we’re limiting how many people can be in a family. the current cap is five and will not be changed anytime soon. we also expect our members, all of them --- to interact with everybody not just their connections. be sure to branch out and plot with as many people as you can.

hello everyone, anakin here --- i just wanted to make an important note. we’ve been open for about three-four weeks now which is so awesome ! i love this group with my entire being but i can’t help but to notice the sudden downfall in activity on the dash. i’m not sure how this has happened or what caused it but i do want to turn it around and boost member morale somehow. admin red and i have been discussing numerous of different options ( even a revamp if it comes down to it ) but we’re still at a loss of what to do. because of this we’d really appreciate it if our members could message us about what they’d like to see here at rush --- more events, tasks, etc ? you can send us messages on or off anon and we’ll review them as unbiased as we possibly can. the only thing we ask is to be kind and respectful, we truly do want to make rush the best possible experience for all our members. thank you !
