Years after the Promise Ending, Sam and Phillippe have started a new life together, raising Joel and Rat Baby (Jaffa) and helping the world rebuild.

Even though there's been a lot to adjust to... like Phillippe learning to survive without a spore mother, Sam living with only one arm, and Joel without his parents... none of them are alone, since they have each other.

Little bit of a curious question, how would future phil react to past phil? Would he look back in longing, or something else?

Eventually, he’ll come to realize that he was nothing more than a pawn to the Spore Mother. He’ll still grieve the loss of his friends; they were once human and also had the capacity to care for him, so they did.

Phil will let go of his hatred someday, and understand that the way he’s living now is more than he ever could have been as a mushroom servant to a mindless queen. He’ll mellow out a bit. However, that won’t stop him from being evil. Though, by then, most of his “evil” actions are just him being petty and mean.

These two will have a happy ending. It’ll take time and work on both their ends, but they’ll make it there one day.

You look squishy. Has anyone tried to use you as a pillow? I feel Sam would.

A little while ago, everyone's stares felt worse than they usually do. Unfortunately, Sam happened to notice that I seemed more on edge. He hauled me off to his room before proceeding to cuddle me for the entire night.

I wasn't able to sleep at all, but this got (almost) everyone off my back for a while.

Here's my take on a Sam x Phillippe baby !! Huge thanks to @inkteresting-art who sent me a bunch of different types of mushrooms and motivated me to design my own babie when she drew hers!!!

I decided to design her after the amethyst deceiver mushroom since purple is a mix of Sam and Phil's colors! :> That, and the "deceiver" part of the mushroom's name fits with Phillippe in general.

As for the family's dynamic... Phil would end up being overbearing and protective at first. He'd be both ecstatic and anxious about his progeny, not wanting them to experience what he had. With some support and love from Sam, Phillippe learns to step back a bit from time to time, letting Prun do her own thing.

Phillippe is the papa who spoils his child rotten, so he often struggles to tell Prun "no". Meanwhile, Sam is gentle but firm in helping Prun understand boundaries.

What if you convinced Sam to let you pick his clothes. That would fix one of the problems you have with him.
