this was sent to me before i had actually seen that episode, so i remember being like ??? when i read this BUT now that i have indeed seen it.... i have to agree with you...
there would be a lot of treading on each other's toes, i think. satine and yourself are going through a lot right now, thinking that obi-wan is dead. she'd come off more callous, you'd come off more disconnected. it's the worst recipe.
you know of her, just never met her before now. a funeral really isn't the best place to get to know somebody. most likely there'd be an argument (*cough* most likely started by her *cough*) and you'd both have to be pulled away from each other -- people are grieving, for crying out loud! it would stir the pot, and there would definitely be a mutual animosity between you two from then on. but afterward i like to think that matters can be settled. or at least, you try your damnest to be civil even if you want to push her out a window.
obi-wan would definitely try to calm the waters when he realizes how you don't like each other, a while after he comes back. but when you think about it, you'd be more involved in obi-wan's life, rather than satine. so it's only natural for feelings to evolve between you two. when news reaches satine... yeah, she's almost ready to make a proper funeral for obi-wan.
