Who else feels personally attacked by this latest episode of the Flash?
Look what's coming up... Savitar is wearing the same jacket. And now we know why Iris took off her wedding ring. Question is, when was this? Was this when he took Iris back with him before he killed her...? Or after he "killed" her?
Iris West and Westallen fans coming for Savitar's ass
5 More theories about how Iris could have been saved
So we have a really good theory floating around involving HR switching with Iris but just to give us peace of mind here are 5 more possible (but wacky?) theories... 😊 1. Savitar never had any intention of killing Iris. He only needed Barry to SEE Iris die. So the Iris that we saw get stabbed was actually created by Savitar (or Alchemy) using the philosopher's stone and this Iris is actually one of the remaining husks that the show no longer talks about. 2. Cisco worked with G*psy and Earth 19's Flash. That Flash created a time remnant that they disguised as Iris using the transmogrification device. Since this "Iris" is technically a speedster she is quick enough to make the switch without Savitar noticing. Iris is safely on Earth 19. 3. Barry decides to play the memory game. Maybe it's possible for him to read Savitar's memories like Savitar can read his. He learns that Savitar has the Philosopher's Stone and the trap will fail. Barry manipulates his own memories so that Savitar THINKS he killed Iris. Memories are just info stored in the brain so Barry could have mentally thought about Iris' death scene in detail a few times and this gets stored in his long term memory (much like thinking about your favorite dream or day dream - it's there in your memory bank). So the scene at the end of 3x22 didn't really happen but are "memories" that Barry created and Savitar believes it happened. Now they need to find Iris. 4. Similar to #2 above. Since Wally is injured, Wally replaced Jay in the speedforce and Jay created a time remnant that was disguised as Iris and this time remnant "Iris" made the switch. The real Iris is safe somewhere. 5. Similar to #4 above. Jesse created a speed remnant which is disguised as Iris and switched.
Me @ The Flash writers after tonight's episode
There is no flash without Iris West.
If Iris dies and stays dead...
I may be done watching The Flash. Honestly. The only reason I'm still watching Arrow is that my partner and I watch together. Once Roy was gone, and they killed Oliver's (comic canon) future partner Laurel, I lost a lot of my interest. It's dark and broody and lacking enough bright spots of humor for my taste. When I saw they killed off Abbie on Sleepy Hollow, I quit. Why keep killing off the strong female characters on shows? Especially women of color? There are cultural ramifications and responsibilities for the entertainment industry that I wonder if the show runners just don't get. I love Grant Gustin as Barry, and Jesse Martin's Joe has actually been my favorite character from the beginning. I don't want to see them broken and grieving and trying to live without Iris. Even the endlessly upbeat camaraderie of Cisco and HR/Harry won't be able to save it for me. Especially if they do what they've threatened and take away Cisco's powers by dismembering him. (That's really dark!) The Flash was the lightness that counterbalanced the darker Arrow, but if they both go dark, I am, unfortunately, probably done with them.
