Okay...

KRYPTON GOT CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because of low viewing figures!!!!!!!!!! Despite it only being shown in one country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course, it's not the first time Syfy has cancelled a show due to "low viewing figures"  (*cough*Dominion*cough*), and according to others this is actually a frequent thing. Of course, it's bullshit, given that these ratings don't take into account those from streaming or repeats - or, apparently, other countries. And, as someone worked out after Dominion's cancellation, they renewed shows with lower viewing figures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am angry about this. I love Krypton!!!! It's a brilliant show, it's proof that a prequel can be great if effort is put into it, it has an amazing cast who are all really enthusiastic about their characters. It has heart and warmth and humour and tragedy. It has a compelling plotline and brilliant twists.

I heard that WB are shopping around for a new home for it, and I really hope they succeed - after all, both Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Lucifer got picked up by other networks soon after their cancellation. Meanwhile, we have to boost Krypton's profile. If you've never seen the show and are not quite sure about it, I really recommend you give it a try. Save Krypton

Krypton was- IS- an amazing show that was cancelled suddenly with no warning at all. This show deserves more time to tell the rest of the story that the showrunners and writers had planned for Seg, Adam, Lyta, Nyssa, Brainiac, Zod, and all the rest, heroes and villains alike. Krypton as a planet may be doomed, but its story shouldn’t have to be. The story of Krypton deserves to be told in full. There are so many questions left to answer, so many problems left to solve, and so many corners of the cosmic DC Universe left to explore. Please give us the opportunity to see how our heroes secure the better tomorrow that leads to Superman and Supergirl, and possibly even to Nightwing. Don’t let the legacy of the House of El, of Krypton, die out like this.
