@Regran_ed from @jhunternolan - This is a moment that I will keep with me until I put my camera down. This wild male was perched peacefully on this log when I came over the crest of a mud smothered hill deep in the rainforest of the Leuser Ecosystem in Indonesia. When I arrived, he only glanced at me and stayed calm as if inviting me to share a moment of jungle serenity with him. “Welcome to the jungle” I thought to myself as if it were coming from his mouth. I kept on looking at him and thinking of him as a philosopher. He was clearly thinking, I can only wonder about what, but he was thinking deeply. I put the camera down and thought to myself too. I don’t really know what more to say about this one, I’m here to try to raise awareness about how the palm oil industry is ravaging the home of this creature yet I don’t understand how anything would be worth putting an animal like this in jeopardy of going extinct.
