This is a reminder that YOU ARE PERFECT ✨ Story-time: In May my steamer accidentally flipped to the side, releasing the boiling water from inside directly to my belly. This caused a large second-degree burn in my belly (right under my belly button). I think it was one of the most distressing type of pain I’ve felt. For months I was on some medicine/treatment to help with the healing process and prevent scarring at all cost. I was very very stressed because it definitely did not look good. My main concern was wearing a swimsuit (I live in Miami-Ft Lauderdale area 🏝) and even after it healed I had to prevent any sun exposure (so it was hight waisted everything). Some months ago, my scar was 100% healed and was safe to expose it (always with SPF, but thats a regular for me) and I was still covering my belly because the small discoloration caused by the burn made me insecure. I wore this swimsuit a couple of weeks ago (which is my all time favorite) and just ditched the insecurities. You know what? Yup. My foot hurts. It’s been a week since I accidentally poured boiling tea on my foot & got this second degree burn.
