aloe vera ⇢ what’s something (mundane) you really want to experience in life? idk if it's mundane, but building something with my hands is something that i really want to do. i have a plan to make this plant shelf for my succulents and i want to do the woodworking myself! palm tree ⇢ do you have a fictional villain you shouldn’t like but love regardless? there isn't one that comes to mind immediately patrick bateman comes to mind since im reading american psycho rn but idk

4.5/5 ★ with the outsiders, i prefer the complete novel version vs. the theatrical cut (but i don't think the theatrical cut missed the mark by a large margin). in my opinion it's one of the better adaptations from novel to film and i think that's in part to francis ford coppola's vision. like trying to direct the outsiders in the same style of an american epic as gone with the wind is so big brained and it puts in context the sweeping shots and music in so many ways that captures the essence of the book. i think book fans will always have some gripe but for me, i really enjoy it (even though it lacks the scene where pony picks up broken glass bc he's worried someone will get hurt but i understand for narrative purposes it probably isn't necessary)

5/5 ★ i know i say this a lot but it's truly thee movie of all time. i think every choice from texture to sound is calibrated perfectly to depict the melancholy and loneliness of romantic longing. one of those movies that makes me feel unwell (in a good way) it's one of my top 4 movies on letterboxd actually.
