This week's @weeklymagmas was all about Pirates!

I actually had the chance to host a small collab this week! Thank you to @frogandbird, @sariphantom, @hotflatwaffle and @autisticartistnauthor for joining my Mikey up on the ratlines, it was super fun to draw with you.

This was also my first time drawing my good future!Mikey, I'm pretty happy how he turned out.

@theartsybat inspired this silly little piece with SG Leo and Raph. Leo knows Raph is messing with him, the poor man just wants a drink.

I did some practice poses before the magma opened, and one that I really liked featured someone being held at swordpoint. The figure holding the sword seemed perfect for Rise Leo, and though I thought it'd be a sassy moment with Disaster Twins at first, it ended up becoming a bit of a spat between Rise Leo and 2012 Leo. 12 Leo is unimpressed.

Donnie wishes someone told him about all the ship chores you have to do between the fun piracy stuff. He is not happy to be swabbing the deck in the summer sun.

Last but not least, I did more Bayverse turtles! From left to right we have Mikey, Leo and Donnie. I'm really enjoying drawing the Bayverse boys, their designs feel like they leave me more room to play around with the little details I so love adding in. I think this piece is probably the aftermath of Leo defending Mikey from something stupid.

This week's @weeklymagmas had the theme of Genre Swap. Normally, I end up throwing down whatever small pieces come to mind, but this theme gave me such a clear idea that I ended up working on a single bigger piece the whole weekend. I played around with rendering a bit and I really like how it turned out! I had fun adding in a bunch of smaller details, and a couple people seemed to really like my Mikey's piercings. I also really like them.

I decided on the Procedural Drama genre right out the gate. I watch a lot of medical and legal and police dramas, and it was super easy to fit each of the boys into the genre.

I'm a big fan of the medic Leo genre, so I put him in a medical drama. He works in a pediatric ward and lets the kids cover his prosthetic in stickers. Raph showed interest in the Hidden City police in the show so he gets to be a policeman with some modifications to the canon Hidden City police uniform. Cassandra Jones will one day take over the world with the power of the law, but right now she's taking a well-deserved nap. Donnie is a man of science, so he's a forensic scientist, I can imagine him in a setting like the Jeffersonian in Bones. And last but not least we have Mikey as a firefighter. He just fits.

I did plan this piece before the magma, and originally April was the one asleep under a law book before I switch it to Casey and had April come in with a baby Casey Junior cameo.

Plus an extra in progress sketch of Mikey cause I just like drawing him a lot.

This weekend I participated in my first @weeklymagmas and I had a ton of fun. Everyone was very welcoming and all the art was incredible, and I'm very excited to participate in more. Here are my contributions for this week! The theme was Cosplay.

I ended up erasing this one but I thought it was cute so I saved it:
