there’s SO MUCH aesthetic going on in the duel, and I’ve gone over it 400 billion times (but I’m always willing to go over more) and like. III is dressed in clothes from ancient Rome, because he’s so focused on and obsessed with the way his family used to be. Yuuma is dressed in more futuristic clothes (with the help of Astral) in ZeXal forme, because he’s so obsessed with where he wants to be one day (the duel champion, his family back possibly, befriending kaito and shark) Only with each other can they think about how important the present is and it’ll slip away if they don’t

Film and Parchment?

film; favorite movie/tv show? my favourite film is always changing depending on who i'm answering and what i feel like. the 1993 version of The Secret Garden means a lot to me for some maybe odd reasons. Hairspray is possibly the film i've watched the most. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron is also a good shout.

show wise, i'd maybe say my favourite is kekkai sensen. gx is up there too honestly.

parchment; favorite book? definitely a hard pick. harder than film just because i have so many of them. The Forest of Wool and Steel by Natsu Miyashita, When All is Said by Anne Griffin and My Friend Flicka by Mary O'Hara. I'd be remiss to mention my everlasting love for my favourite childhood book Hetty Feather by Jacqueline Wilson.

🤯: one secret thought about mehonestly i have no clue what i could say? i like to think i’m relatively open about how i feel about people so my first thought when i saw ‘thought about [you]’ was just ‘i love and appreciate her a whole bunch’ but then it’s like… that’s not a secret… i guess i wish we could talk more? if that counts. cause yeah i think that’d be cool, you seem real neat but y’know. conversing is hard.

🙈: If you don’t know what I look like, guess!guess i can only go vaguely speaking. dark hair (though my first thought is brown in colour) that’s like shoulder length i guess? you seem like you’d either be above average or average height though both are tall for me i suppose.

this is so hard whenever i speak to people online i’m just like ‘they don’t exist as a corporeal being’ and leave it at that. wonder if i got anything right though.

we’ll set this in Generic Fantasy World cause the world isn’t the important thing here.

they were born into a family of riches with one two elder siblings; a sister and a brother. they spent their life unknowing of what their family did for a living, but very rarely if ever left the estate that the family owned. they barely saw their brother and came to see him mostly as just another one of the people that lived in the estate but was much closer with their sister, the eldest of the three. since their parents were always busy training their brother for what they yet didn’t know, their sister was very much like an aunt of sorts. they told themselves they never had a mother, just a ton of aunts ranging from staff to their own sister. due to an attempt on her life when she was very young, their sister was left unable to walk unaccompanied and was constantly treated as an invalid. their sister, as such, instilled a great sense of adventure into them by telling tales both true and false and of the wishes she had but could not fulfill due to her predicament.

as they got older they found themself obsessed with the idea of making one of these dreams of hers come true, starting with a simple one; convincing their parents to allow their sister to go outside again. with the aid of a wheelchair and a lot of bribes to the staff, they managed to do so. this moment was integral in making them believe they could do anything. fulfilled dreams piled up and they found themself aiming high, wanting to let their sister walk once more. their sister was keen on the growing field of mechanics and the two worked together to create what should, theoretically, have acted as supports for her legs, allowing her to feign walking if she controlled them with her arms. this never came through to fruition as the family business that they hadn’t a clue about came about to ruin everything.

the two’s combined abilities and advances in mechanics caught their parents interest and they started to crack down on their projects- tasking them with feats to accomplish instead of allowing them to tinker as they pleased. this put a lot of stress on their sister who was the main builder until she gave into the stress and locked herself in her room alone for two weeks. it wasn’t until her door was forcibly broken down that she was found dead. it didn’t take too long for the guilt to eat away at them, feeling as though it were their fault.

twenty three and with no idea how to continue with their life, they became a wanderer hoping to start with a clean slate. typically, they don’t disclose their past to people but most know not to ask as wanderers tend to have depressing at best histories that people would rather not get into, though their young age certainly raises a few eyebrows. whenever they needed money they would sell accessories and simple toys that they’d created, never garnering a high price but making a lot of village kids happy. they don’t spend a lot of time socialising whenever they pass through villages but have an awful tendency to get wrapped up in the business of others due to their rampant curiosity that they swear they’ll get rid of one day but never seem to be able to. typically these situations involve kids which ends up with them needlessly adopting too many kids for their age and yeah, that doesn’t turn out well. see, they’re not specifically cursed but they do have a habit of attracting the eyes of the power hungry which ends in kids being kidnapped or killed and a journey that had barely begun being aborted. over the course of time and as these incidents piled up, their mental health deteriorated in as vague terms as possible as they started to become paranoid and disillusioned by the world around them. the incidents also caused them to start being banned from villages near and far and, unwilling to go back home, they lived out most of their further life alone in forests until they met their untimely demise from a simple illness.

they weren’t mourned, not by their family who’d long presumed them dead and certainly not by the villagers of the places they’d visited. they’re seen as a symbol of ill fate by many and there’s many stories of them coming and stealing poor kids away at night even long after their death. they tarnished the reputation of wanderers everywhere, putting a halt to many potential wanderers and slowing trade everywhere. many claim that it’s the fault of this one lone wanderer that so many villages died out years later.
