Silkchef is a fascinating ship
What made you first start shipping it?
Excuse me if my memory isn't the best I'll try to explain it as good as possible.
I think Silkchef may have spawned from how the Silksong AU joked about Hornet being into much larger bugs, it could had spawned from me projecting onto Hornet or perhaps I just got the ship name and decided to go from there. Tbf Alot of my pairs, rare or joke, have Hornet with much larger partners just like her dad having way larger Partners (Like a Tree, Sun etc) so maybe she just got it from him.
As for why I ship them it's cuz not only do I like both characters Alot but their dynamics are interesting. We got the obvious one of Skinny One x Fat and round one, their designs nicely "clash". However Lugoli is also a chef the citadel threw out over their food, food Wich ingame is collected for being a delicacy or just really good. Hornet meanwhile doesn't even eat, she literally starves herself cuz "well my half god nature makes food irrelevant and I totally aren't just starving myself to death".
And there's a appeal of having a Chef who's cooking is pretty good yet "didn't look appealing enough" and someone who really should eat already. Lugoli can get someone who may appreciate their cooking and Hornet can finally gain some weight back instead of continuing to be underweight.
That and they're just cute together :3
