Yeah, I can totally see that. Personally, I hc Chloe mostly as a Liara-type. Like, they meet by chance, Beca saving her from a tight spot, and they become really fast friends (obvs). Chloe takes it upon herself to protect Beca - from both herself and others, while doing her information/science/tech thing and having the occasional bout of bad-assery. I think Miranda would be a better fit for, I don't know, Stacie maybe? Or Aubrey. Totally Aubrey. Intense hate/respect relation with Beca? Yeah.

Okay, so, obviously, HC'ing Beca as Shepard kind of makes sense. The real question, though, is this: in your HC, who would Chloe be? I've asked several people about this and got wildly varying answers. Obviously, it's closely tied to the romance options you pick when playing the game... So, thoughts? Kind of curious to see which way you'd go on this :p
Omg, okay. I flip between hc’ing Chloe as a Liara-type character or a Miranda-type character (even though i will forever be salty you couldn’t romance Miranda as femshep), but maybe somewhere in between? Maybe Chloe being a kind of eccentric, capable-of-fighting researcher who ends up being tasked with putting Beca back together (in more ways than one). I just think that Liara is such a good romance option but Miranda’s general bad-assery will always be hands down one of my fave npcs to date.
I also love Garrus, but I don’t know if I can fully see Chloe being him/his character.

Urf. A mass effect story is such a hassle to write! There is so much lore and so many characters to work with and I have so many ideas I don't even know where to take the story anymore. I started out just sort of outlining the general storyline with Beca as Shepard, but somewhere along the line I got lost... as I always do with literally every story I've ever written...! I love it, I really do, but God do I hate it!
omg okay Beca as Shep is how I hc it too. I think she’d be a good balance of paragon/renegade in terms of personality with some renegade leanings. ❤️ Heavy past on her shoulders, the fate of the galaxy/universe.
