So to start off with, just in case it wasn't clear, this AU is about magical girls(just called puella magi instead here) existing within the ff15 universe. So the rules, general mechanics, etc are the same of course, though slightly molded to fit into ff15.

Which brings us to Noctis. 👀

Since Noctis is the Chosen King of Prophecy, he has more than enough lines of fate to justify the incubators going after him. Which they do, specifically during a very vulnerable moment in his teens, when he sees his father with the cane for the first time (those who've seen the brotherhood anime should know the scene i'm talking about, it's in ep 4). Well....actually they go after him like a week before this, but seeing his dad's health declining even more is what pushes Noctis to finally decide to make his wish.

I don't have the specific wording in mind yet, but Noctis' wish is basically for the wall/the crystal to draw power from himself, rather than his dad. The entire basis of his wish is to protect his dad.

(As you may or may not have noticed from the original drawing, I tried to incorporate this into Noctis' puella magi form via angel wing imagery(from Regis' glaive) and elements from Regis' kingly raiment itself.)

Now, I'm sure you're also wondering what exactly Noctis' abilities are as a puella magi, especially when he has natural magic powers already... Well have no fear as I def have those answers too, and there's more to it than you might think even >;3c

As Noctis' soul is no longer in his body, this also means that his magic is no longer obstructed by the lingering affects from his injury, giving him access to the full amount of power he's supposed to have. As you can imagine this greatly enhances his abilities in his regular training and stuff. Add this to sheer amount of lines of fate he no doubt has and you got practically the most powerful puella magi on Eos.

In puella magi form, his ability set isn't too different from the game. He can warp all over the place, has access to spells, and has access to four different weapons(sword, shield, spear, broadsword). A main thing for him here though is that since his wish focused on protecting his dad and his people(remember the purpose of the Wall) his abilities/purpose as a puella magi is protection. He's essentially taken on a mantle as a Shield too.

While I havent worked out the exact kinks yet for this, thanks to his natural large amount of magic he also may not even ever have to worry about his gem going dark from overuse, merely negative emotions.

I know this answer is already pretty long hehe, but here's a few other miscellaneous details that'll come up in this AU:

Mami does make an appearance and plays a big role. Noctis and her are the same age here(15) and he meets her on his first outing hunting witches. They actually become pretty fast friends.

I didn't include it in my drawing, but Noctis does wear a mask as a puella magi in order to hide his identity as crown prince

In short, there are no minimum necessities for human life here. The situation is catastrophic and devastates humanity. Famine is intensifying, poverty is intensifying, goods are running out, and the danger of bombing is all around us.😟

I appeal to you and seek your help to share our story and our suffering through your pages, and to provide us with support and concern.🙏
