If you give kids the means of production via FL Studio & a laptop, & then allow them to easily distribute that product via YouTube & Soundcloud, you end up with a landscape where kids effectively run music. $teele 11′ is an example of the type of kid who’s running shit without any help from any old ass record label motherfucker, and I’m pretty sure he’s still in High School. There’s a huge number of kids just like him, and they’re either making music in much the same fashion, or listening to it nonstop. That typa shit is so exciting to me, and it’s only going to become more prevalent from here.
