i think the way jamie dresses is just streetwear or something idk but here in poland i see some men dressing like this (or rather trying to look like this bc lots of these clothes are expensive lol) and especially new wave rappers (although they can be even crazier). as much as i kinda see this style as an asshole style, it fits jamie and his character a lot imo like i can imagine him being a fahionable diva

american guys just don’t dress like that 😂 at least not the ones that i see. it does fit his character and i don’t hate it!!! thank you for taking the time to explain this to me lol

What is the origin of your blog name?

Viola O'Banion, wife og Dean O'Banion, bootlegger rival of Al Capone. Spoilers: Al's gang killed Dean, and later the rest of his gang 💔 But not Vi! She lived until the 1970s. Remarried twice, but always cherished her time with Deanie 🥹 Dean O'Banion appears in season 3 and 4 of Boardwalk Empire, which is how I sorta fell down the rabbit hole. (more spoilers: dean is one of my faves on the show)

What’s your “I will always order this” food?

I don't think I have one tbh. It depends on where I am and what sort of restaurant it is. Like I'll love fries until my dying breath but i won't order it at an Indian restaurant.

What’s your current comfort show/movie/book?

I'm currently reading (technically listening, 'cause it's audiobooks) the game of thrones books for the first time. after having watched the show like three times from start to finish already, listening to the books kinda feels like coming home 🥹 (I'm only on book two, so for now show and book are still pretty close)

Song you’ve had on repeat this week?

it being christmas, i haven't really been listening to much in the past week. but before that i got a hangup on weinachtslied 2024 by 01099. honorable mention: girls just want to have fun (medieval edition) by bardcore. man i could listen to that all day 🫶🏻

What’s the last thing you hyperfixated on?

House of Guinness probably 🙄 (specifically Anthony Boyle in House of Guinness)

What’s an oddly specific thing that brings you joy?

It's not an everyday thing, but when the first snow fell earlier this winter, I saw parents pulling their kids on little sleds on their way it kindergarten. The kids where having the time of their lives and I guess their mood rubbed off on me in the dark winter morning 🥹

What smell instantly makes you happy?

Freshly cut grass in the summer or petrichor after the heavy summer rain.

What’s something you loved as a kid that you secretly love now?

Idk if it's very secret tbh but I still love playing with legos for kids (Like the Belleville series I FUCKING LOVE THAT SHIT). And color in coloring books. And crack the ice on frozen puddles.

Are you a morning person, night owl, or something else entirely?

I'd say I'm an afternoon or evening person. The only reason I get up in the morning is because I have lots to do or soemwhere to be. If not, I'm getting up later 💅🏻

Lastly, if you work, what is your work profession? And do you like it?

I'm an archivist. Do I like it? Both yes and no. But mostly yes. Do you know how much classified information I know that snoopy journalists could only dream of accessing? 😏
