Hi do I feel crazy and didn’t want to speak over anyone as a Non Native or Indigenous person but this this post kinda reeks to me (especially with the insistence that the only “poc” darker than a paper bag are Black) and I just wanted more opinions. To be clear I actually don’t have anything against the actual art (probably would have kept scrolling if the comment immoderately below it didn’t inexplicably mention Black people) and I’m more irritated by the responses from people saying that only Black people are capable of being dark, someone even said Native people are never and have never been Brown which....feels incorrect but hey I’m just a Black person that’s probably too obsessed with race 🙄

Hi! I’m a Latinx person participating in a fandom. Our fandom is based around a tv show with a WW protagonist. I have observed a lot of WOC in our fandom are expressing a lot of negativity about the WW protagonist (comments about appearance, dress, questioning her decisions) and white women fans are crying out misogyny in the form of direct posts calling out the behavior to vague posting insinuating these POC fans are ripping other women down. But, if fandom can be a place for Black and brown women to work out frustrations about white women — is that really such a bad thing? Are there resources that unpack this?
