DELETE or ERASE Windows 10 Telemetry DATA EASILY

There has been a lot of discussion about how much and what type of data Microsoft sends to its servers about you and your computing habits.

Now due to pressure from users and privacy groups, Microsoft have added a method of removing or deleting your personal tracking information easily.

No registry hacks or config files. Just open the control panel cog and go to privacy, then diagnostics & feedback, then scroll down to delete diagnostic data.

Click the button and an erase command will be sent to the Microsoft telemetry servers.

Just make sure you do this on all Windows 10 computers, laptops and tablets, and you will stop them tracking your movements and computer usage.

Remembering Swartz, by protesting

Would just like to briefly voice support for Tumblr's (Yahoo's) participation in their protest against the NSA and massive, indiscriminate collection of data and information. Otherwise known as surveillance.  Canada does it too, often at the behest of the NSA. Most recently it was revealed CSEC, Canada's signals and communications intelligence agency, has been testing out a way to track people through airports using WiFi, ostensibly to thwart kidnappers (a huge, huge threat, bigger than terrorism ///sarcasm) and more importantly, for the NSA. Last year I published an essay on Aaron Swartz. I have to say I did not know of this individual before his death, but found myself drawn to and moved by his story enough to research it extensively and write about it.  Swartz was, by virtue of his actions, an incredibly inspiring person. So much so that the internet is adopting a Swartz-initiated protest tactic against the NSA and mass surveillance. The "Stop Online Piracy Act" or SOPA, was stopped in part because the biggest websites on the internet were participants in a coordinated campaign against the bill, displaying banners and going offline. I hope you take the time today to read about surveillance, to sign petitions, and to thank the massive websites that take part in these protests  Though of course it could go further. To all of you who think that you have nothing to hide from the NSA. That's not the only thing you have to worry about.

So websites have been catering to what you like to see, from your data, and I know quite a bit of people don't care about that. But there will be a time where they will have collected enough data, to the point where they can heavily influence you to do or buy something.

Don't know how? I'll make myself an example: I love anime and 2D pixel art games (I'm sure a lot of you are too), I almost stop at every time I see something like that, like a new game or new anime.

Like Internet Explorer Tan aka Inori Aizawa I'm sure that A LOT of you hate Internet Explorer, yet ever since announcing Internet Explorer Tan, I'm sure some of you actually tried it out and liked the facebook page, just because she's an Anime character.

It is public knowledge that a lot of people love Anime, therefore making a browser into a Anime persona would attract atleast some attention. And this is public knowledge. Imagine if they had your deepest secrets, knowing how and what makes you buy things, what makes you tick, what makes you calm. These things are tools manipulate you to do something that you feel is normal, yet was all planned out in the beginning by someone else.

It's just like being in the right place at the right time... Except, they will always be right there, as long as there is something to power them, they will ALWAYS be at the right place and the right time.
