sometimes i think about how sad Eddie would be if he discovered Buck didn’t tell him he loved him because he worried that Eddie would leave him or start to pull away from him. how sad Eddie would be when he learns that Buck would rather be sad and hurt by keeping the secret of how much he loves Eddie instead of telling Eddie and letting him carry some of the load
how sad Eddie would be to know Buck doesn’t think he’s strong enough to help Buck carry the weight of his love. god that doesn’t weigh a thing. it’s the easiest thing that Eddie has ever held. he’s more than strong enough to carry it even if he doesn’t reciprocate (or so he thinks, for now. that man is so in love it’s embarrassing)
