A Volunteer writes: "Tobie's family received him as a gift when he was only 3 months old. They surrendered him 3 days go at 11 years of age. Tobie had a conflict with their other resident dog so it was time for him to hit the bricks. He is very fearful - understandable given such a drastic change in circumstance - and is therefore available only via an ACC-approved rescue group. "Tonight Tobie took treats gently from my hand and while not quite brave enough to go for a walk he came to the front of his kennel when I opened the door and gave me kisses. At one point he stared at me with that wide-eyed look of despair and disbelief and began to whimper. And my heart broke open.
