The Defenders
Well, here I go, I finished watching this series, so here’s my honest, candid opinion about it:
It’s nice...but it can be forgetful.
The only thing that saves this series to be forgetful is the interaction between the characters of all the other shows.
The building friendship between Jessica and Matthew is organic and really refreshing (andImightshipitlol)
The friendship between Luke and Danny, however sometimes feels nice, sometimes feel forced.
I like the pacing overall, but I do wish there were more action scenes imo. And more guns. The lack of guns caught my attention and I can’t help but notice this.
I did get irritated how Suwande was handled. He got captured off-screen, barely had time to be developed and they got rid of him pretty quickly.
Alexandra was an interesting villain but even though she got an impactful beginning, she started falling apart in the following episodes.
Even so, I preferred if she continued on power because of how disappointing it was when she was out of the scene. Elektra is not a powerful enemy, she’s doesn’t have that many presence and is not as menacing in comparison to the other villains. Honestly, the series was going off-rails after this and the saving grace is that there were only 2 episodes left to end.
Matt surviving is not surprising and yet felt too forced. How the fuck they managed to save him? I guess we’ll know later.
I’m glad that the show producers noticed that not many liked Iron Fist and they owned it, so Danny is treated like a kid and all his speech of him being the hero and all that shit is being step aside till he became some sort of damsel in distress. LMAO, that was the greatest.
Anyways, I do hope to see more The Defenders because their relationship is nice. I want to see more. Seeing that despite their personalities and how they are bunch of loners, they manage to build this friendship so I want to see this friendship evolve even further.
