Unexpectedly great obscure manga finds!
"Tesla Note" by Nishida Masafumi, Kubo Tadayoshi, and Sannomiya Kouta - really great artwork and fast-paced action kind of manga. I like how the main two characters (a guy and a girl) have this competitive sibling-like rivalry, instead of the usual romance. Unfortunately, it hasn't updated since March, so idk if scanlations were dropped or the manga itself was dropped. Major bummer if it was.
"Nan Hao & Shang Feng" by Brownie - I read this at like 3:00AM (stupid sore stomach) and laughed so much I was worried I was going to wake my family up. Honestly it's hilarious. If you liked Tamen De Gushi's and Ani ni Tsukeru's humor style, you will definitely like this manhua.
"Liar Satsuki Can See Death" by Ryouko (了子) - this was another manga I picked up and read overnight during a gastrointestinal crisis. It's actually one of my new favorite manga I've read of all time. The art is great and the characters are very dynamic and interesting. Lots of plot twists. There's also a tiny bit of Yuri, if you're into that (I am!). Fair warning though, there's some gore, bullying, and a suicide attempt in this, so if that stuff bothers you, stay away.
"Petals of Reincarnation" by Konishi Mikihisa - I found this manga while just browsing MangaDex and I will be 100% honest that I bookmarked it because I thought the girl on the front was pretty. When I started reading, I was pleasantly surprised. It's actually very interesting, the main male character doesn't hog the spotlight and isn't a perv. There's almost no unnecessary fanservice (unlike like 99% of shounen stuff) and I like the bit of science thrown in as well. If you like Jujutsu Kaisen and/or the Toaru Majutsu/Kagaku series, imagine them somehow unfathomably colliding and you get this manga.
I will share more titles as soon as I find and read them!
