Some of those folks take everything to seriously, there’s SJW’s out there who think that trans people who suffer from dysphoria are the worst kind of trans people. I dont need this and you dont need it either. and yeah i detest passive agresssiveness
It's just... sorta ridiculous? Like I didn't even know what dysphoria was until like yesterday or something, and it definitely sounds like something heavily associated with being trans. I, being cis, obviously have no idea what it's actually like, but from what I've understood from my several trans friends they have indeed experienced dysphoria.
Like, tumblr SJWs are trying to take the dysphoria out of being trans. They're literally removing the defining part of being trans, feeling like your gender and your sex don't match. That is literally what being trans is, right? SJWs are like "you can be whatever gender you feel like and if it isn't the same as your assigned birth gender you're automatically trans", like gender is a choice or something?? If you actually feel like your gender is different from your sex, and you've felt it for a good while, then yes, you are trans. But if your mindset is that "I feel like this gender today but I felt like this yesterday and it'll definitely change tomorrow", then it's just... not right. Not a choice, people, just like sexuality and shit like that.
Genderfluid, genderqueer and other people like that are more vague, though. I'm not gonna get into that. Sure, their genders don't match their sexes, but it feels like these non-binary gender identities have opened a gateway for more and more far-fetched ideas of gender. Just look at otherkin.
Also, it's funny how often these people just throw out words like "transphobic" and "homophobic" and refuse to even try to fix other people's mindsets. How do you expect to make the world a better place if you can't even confront people about their toxic world views? I'd be more than willing to have a calm, collected discussion about my opinions and views on stuff like this, private or not, instead of listening to people referring to me only by insults and words implying I'm closed-minded. I'm open for discussion, people, I won't laugh at anyone approaching me calmly with a differentiating opinion (like some people do).
EDIT: dysphoria is not what I thought it was, I'm sorry, I have no idea if any of the trans folk I know have experienced it or not because I don't talk about this stuff with them, all I know's that they're all mighty fine dudes and I love them all thank you good night
