You don't have to prove you're real, I believe you. - @thylightbringer
Any typical angel might have fled, screamed, backed away or even taken a defensive stance upon being approached by a demon. But not Lucid. No, the blue angel stared wide-eyed and still when the other seemingly appeared from nowhere. One moment he had looked there, empty and turned his gaze away, only moments later to sense that he was being watched. White and blue plumage puffed and ruffled along the arms of his six wings, the hovering white-blue halo humming in an ever slightly higher pitch.
It was now that Lucid could truly understand how closely his own resemblance mirrored that of the fallen archangel, particularly in the face. Apple red cheek marks, the round shaped face, golden blond locks and defined eyebrows. But the eyes themselves easily set them apart: red on yellow sclera vs blue on white. Lucid’s eyes held innocence and curiosity, the other with the presence of one that has lived and seen many things in his lifetime. However even the blue angel was uncertain if the Devil would truly believe who this doppelgänger truly was.
“Oh golly. Wow. Oh man, I-I honestly didn’t think I’d run into you this quickly-” Lucid fidgeted with his hands together, eyes darting away and then back again nervously. “Listen. This-this isn’t a dream okay. I’m real,” he quickly gestured fully to himself, his grin anxious as his words rushed out. “This isn’t a dream! I can prove it-”
“You don't have to prove you're real, I believe you.”
Lucid felt a bit of weight of release from his chest when Lucifer spoke, seemingly believing him. Phew! Perhaps this would go better than he expected after all. “You do? That-that’s great! Fantastic even! I honestly was honestly pretty nervous you might not think so and write me off as an illusion. Which is totally understandable! Illusions are rather my thing.” The blue angel kept rambling, his laughter soft like ringing bells, carding a hand through his messy blond hair. At this rate he was going to continue beating around the bush and rambling about whatever was immediately on his mind than address the very prominent subject in the room: there was Lucifer Morningstar facing a clone that very much should not exist.
