feelings aside, i think what bugs me the most about owen and gwen hooking up after countrycide is that it was countrycide!! the story with famously no aliens!!! gwen has this whole voiceover speech about how “i go through all this stuff and i can’t share it with anyone except you owen” but like,,, why not?? your cover story with rhys is that you’re special ops police, being attacked by cannibals is exactly the type of thing that could fit into that story!!! you even involved the Actual Police!!! truly, if they hooked up after any random alien encounter it would make more sense to me
