hi! sorry to bother you about a fic you wrote like five years ago, but i was a little consered. i decided to finally continue reading the answer, and i thought that some of fanarts weren't seem in a correct order. for example, in chapter 11 while the beach scene, fanart of 2d and murdoc standing in the water is placed before they even take off their shoes. wasn't sure if it was on purpose or ao3 just messed something up, so i decided to let you know. sorry if it was already asked!

Hello! And it's okay, I don't mind questions about old fics. I'll be honest though, I haven't looked through the chapters and art placement in a long time, so I'll have to set aside some time to go review it. i just can't stop thinking about that one theory, that plastic beach is so full with love songs because of the fact that mudz and 2d were alone on it for i don't remember how long. this theory sure has a lot of inconsistencies, but i don't really care. just every time "on melancholy hill" plays in my playlist i can't not remember it. what do you think about all this idea and about this albom in general? because it's my favorite one, to be honest. i especially love tge fact that in every song there's some sound inspired by sea in general. especially the submarine motive in "rhinestone eyes" and "on melancholy hill"

Welcome back! I'll be honest, PB is probably me least favorite phase, but I can appreciate that it provides us with a lot of material to work with re: Murdoc. I also understand the love people have for the aesthetic and themes, and tbh, same - I do love my water metaphors lmao.

I've heard conflicting info over whether Murdoc wrote PB or not, but I've never seen the proof that he didn't, so I'm in support of your support for that theory. The way I see, even IF it was clearly in conflict with canon, it would still be valid because that's the beauty of fandom. It's fandom's roots, tbh.

sup!! y'know, i just now realized that i have no idea why murdoc literally became green throw years. is it because of some "deal with the devil" thing? don't know why, but i personally always liked his appearance in early phases. i guess it just made him more real, believable for me

Hello! I don't think any of us know, tbh, because Jamon have never told us. I have a vague memory of an old interview where Jamie described him as rotting - but it was long enough ago that they were probably still going with the immortality concept, which idt they're using anymore. I believe Murdoc's also said he "tans green," but this was around P3 and idt it ever came up again.

I like his early phase look the best, too! Idk why they're so attached to the green now...I assume the memes and potential joke-writing fodder play a part in it.
