Off-topic... 'This is the end. My only friend the end.' I still can't believe that after almost 30 years one of the most important venues in Cologne, the Underground, will be demolished this week. For ages there's been rumors about this and now it's finally happening. The city of Cologne plans to build a school at this place but instead of moving the freaking Burger King around the corner they've decided to destroy one of Cologne sub culture venues that's so important for many people. Many people have tried to safe this place, but in the end we've lost. Since I've been 15 years old I came here on a frequent base. Not only did I shoot some of the most amazing concerts in here, also I had so many friends working at this place. I've danced, laughed, cried, kissed, partied hard, got drunk or high, seen bands who are massive nowadays on the smallest stages and simply just had the time of my life for so many times. This place was more than just a random concert venue, somehow it's been my second home for so many years. I came here to have a beer with friend, watched football games, worked at some techno event, shot countless shows and fell in love with this odd rocked up and sometimes messy place. I am thankful for all the days and nights I've got to spend here. For all the times the wonderful Underground team would let bands use their parking on day offs. For all the free shots I've had. For dancing till the sun got up. For getting my purse back when I thought I've lost it. For a weekly chill out pillow event. For always being able to make new friends from all over the world. For being part of my life. Last night we've danced one last time. So many people came out from all over Germany, even some of my Dutch people were around... it's been a special night with old music treasures I've never really liked but last night you had me singing them along because they've been on this places playlist since like forever. Thanks everyone for coming. Now I am heartbroken. Even if there might be a new similar place soon, it ain't the same. Last night I've said goodbye. R.I.P.
