In the spirit of dream AU art I present the first ever character designs/ideas!

Yep, it was originally a regular Tale AU but then I was told the perfect pun opportunity and here we are. I made 3 versions (UnderSleep, Fell Asleep, and SleepSwap) but stuck with Fell Asleep just cause I like Fell (and someone else has a similar Tale AU and I don’t wanna step on toes so I shall corner the Fell Dream AU market! NYAHAHAHAHA!!!) I also got really into things like their height for the dream world and the real world cause dreams exaggerate but many ideas manifested differently in Fell. Like how you CANT go to sleep there (unless you’re human) while in UT they just don’t like sleeping since it’s the whole reason they’re trapped there. Or how they’re nightmares that slowly turn into dreams the more you get to know them/after you get past them in Fell but in Tale they stay the same and just look smaller when they get out. so ye, there’s Sleepy Head (Frisk), Nap (Papy), and Sloth (snas).

Pillow's personality: very similar to canon sans except he's more confident and has really fast come responses

In a world where humans drain monsters of their magic to get stronger, UnderSleep is an au where the line between dreams and reality blurs. While living in the underground can be seen as blissful as falling into a sweet slumber it can also be as frightening as the goriest of nightmares.

You fall into the underground but cannot find a presence of life except for a single talking flower, it's shaped like a star! Even tho there were signs of living here, The ruins seemed to have been abandoned by the time you fell

You manage to get out of the ruins just to stumble (quite literally) upon sans, who somehow is still asleep despite you tripping on him

Throughout the game, sans, papyrus and flowey give you all sorts of subtle hints on leaving the underground before you sink too deep in.
