Nobody realizes Apo regresses for ages because they just can't find her. They manage to squirrel herself away in some tiny corner every time they regress and this gets even worse after she's turned bc they can turn into a bat then.
Eventually gets found out because sge ends up trying to fly up to some hiding spot and just completely fail at flying correctly.
alternative, more angsty route: Gets found out by the town after Martyn outs them as a vampire and she just completely crashes and starts sobbing.
very quiet! able to talk but doesnt like to.
generally okay alone, doesn't get left alone if people find her anyways since they wont ask for help.
probably regresses between like 3-8.. most common would be 5-7 though i think.
She Stares when small. so much.
likes being read to. and listening to people in general. if they aren't hiding then its a 99% chance that shes just watching and listening to things in town.
has probably been around the whole town and had nobody notice that theyre small. i dont think she would mind though

when it got late and apo was regressed with cherri, they would just cuddle up in bed with a lantern burning in the corner of the room, coating them in a soft glow, as cherri read to them. the first few nights in oakhurst, she just hugged herself and tried not to cry
