Well, not exactly, but that's pretty much how their unusual friendship began.

This is a quick remake of a comic from over a year ago. I decided to give it a simple refresh by adding more details and adapting the format for Tumblr. There's still some things I'd like fix, but I have a feeling I'd end up trying to draw everything from scratch haha.

I plan to do the same with a few other comics at some point, regardless of general interest because I suspect there won't be much of it. I'm just glad that thanks to my friends, I'm finally opening up enough to share my comics outside Discord servers, especially these featuring Varcer. He was misunderstood countless times - mostly due to his appearance but also extremely outdated info - and I really want to change it.

I mean, just take a look! He can be roasted by a talking guinea pig capybara and he simply doesn't care. Did he actually understand anything? Well, yes and no... Mostly no-

Blaming @grievousfan for this meme. Varcer often acts like a background character, not particularly rushing into the action until the situation requires it. I like to think it is because he needs a little more time to understand what is happening in front of him before he realizes that his teammates "probably" expect him to help them fight the monster that is destroying the city. He is not the brightest one but he tries his best.

[WIP] I rarely get the chance to animate my own characters and post them online, so I wanted to show Varcer's face rig that I'm working on for a short clip with him. He can express many emotions just with his eyes and I always found it quite adorable. (While uploading this I realized I forgot to mute the music, but that's okay. Those who recognize the OST will get a cookie).
