Walker inspires me to heal when i think about how we met at the party of a black girl he was besties with~ we've protected women via our friendship(s) & shared artistry by creating space for feminine expression as much as possible. Of all my white male friends we kiki the most 💜
Walker reminds me to grow when i think of my 1st farm on the southside & how he redesigned our logo in the 2nd half of the 2010s. Every time i visit our page i see his beautiful art giving grace & emotional power to the symbol of a sunflower (a plant i still use as a motif!) 🌻
Walker inspires me to connect to other freelance artists like ourselves, to advocate for their right to exist & the responsibility of society to take care of our gifts as we use them to likewise care for their universe we are reflecting. This means not giving into automated "art." 🌐
Walker inspires me to celebrate when i see his amazing artwork much of which canonizes pop culture in his unique style~ whether it's pop girls, wrestlers, Bulls players he embodies pop culture as a utopian network where different interests & types of people can gather in harmony. 🎉
