— ♢ she owed money – a lot of it, and that was the simple truth behind the raven haired girl flooding past bodies in the middle of the night. “get out of my way!” she yelped at them, matrixing around and jumping to avoid being smacked into. she knew that alexander’s goons were just around the block, and she needed to be away and out of sight within a series of seconds. darting down the first alley she saw, drea had been looking over her shoulder as she ran – which of course end resulting with her colliding into another body, her own force enough to send them both tumbling to the ground; her ankle twisting in the downfall. “agh – fuck – what the hell!”
Warren barely caught himself before he might have been sprawled out next to the tiny human who was now yelling up profanities. He had even tried to catch her... and while his fingers had managed to grasp fabric, it wasn’t nearly tight enough to keep her from the ground. “Y’know, we really shouldn’t be running into each other like this,” he joked, trying to make light of the situation. That’s when it happened, something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. Eyebrows pushed together as he looked down the alley to see whoever had been chasing her hadn’t given up. It was now his turn to let a stream of profanities out under his breath. “You’re about to be real uncomfortable for the next few minutes,” he said, the only warning she got before he used his strength to haul her up and ‘throw’ her over his shoulder. He was gentle enough, of course. He was keeping an arm around her legs to keep her steady too. So gentlemanly.
