I need computer help

reblog to save me pls // or ignore this I guess if u can't help // so I have a Toshiba Satellite with Windows 95. Upon startup, I enter a password, and windows 95 starts up to a DOS screen, ending with "cannot find WIN.COM, unable to continue loading windows". So, I went to "C:\WINDOWS>dir win*". I have WININI (QTW) and WININI (CIM) and other WIN files but no WIN.COM. So, my question is: I do need to download or extract a WIN.CNF file from somewhere, ya? What Windows disk or CD-ROM would I need for this to happen (bc I can't get my cabinet files to come up, if I even have any)? And, how do I get my CD-ROM to run once I have it in?
