i keep reading coli like border collie and thinking "what do dogs have to do with this"
Yesterday I was tired. REALLY TIRED because I got about 1 hour of sleep in 2 days (medical stuff ugh). And I was trying to get on this blog. And I got upset because I couldn’t! Find it! Well, I got a solid’s night sleep in my own bed last night and upon checking my search history discovered the problem: I’d been searching things like “salad rising” “salad mine” “pet dragon salad” and my personal favourite, the all caps “SALAD BLOG”
To lighten things up, what type of meals do you think are common in certain flights (ignoring that certain dragons can't eat everything for now)? For example, Water clans would probably have plenty of seafood-related dishes. Shadow most likely use mushrooms a lot. Lightning probably just has frozen dinners or instant noodles pack, majority of them don't have time to make a proper dinner.

this probably won't be published and idgaf about that but for real, as a rando who just returned to fr (and to the salt) this year from a two year hiatus, whoever is manning this blog needs a thicker skin. People are allowed to ask for completely off topic subjects to be dropped jfc (and as a mod you should've foreseen that instead of letting it continue for way too long)
Okay we need to take a step back here. If you don't like the way the blog is run, then sure, send a polite ask about it and we do discuss it. Or go to a different blog. But don't pull this crap. You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. We do stop topics, tag things, etc when asked directly as long as we are able to. We stop topics when they get out of hand or don't post them if we can't find on site context for them. And everything is discussed behind the scenes so that we are as fair and responsible as we can be. Yeah we aren't perfect, but we also take accountability when we mess up. And beyond that. Don't forget there are actual people behind this blog, who aren't FR staff. We only run this because of the love for FR and the community. But to come on here and say we need 'thicker skin?' Seriously? We are allowed to not post things we don't want to, have bad days, or to set boundaries we need. Again, we aren't paid to run this. I'm sorry if this response is too much. But I'm not going to let you say stuff like this without defending Salt. Not only are they my friend and a good person who tries very hard to make this blog a safe place, but they were also literally just setting a boundary. Asking that people directly ask for things they want/need is a really understandable boundary (Hell, the anon in question has responded in a polite and kind way). We work hard to make this blog a safe place for all of you, we're allowed to make it a safe place for us too. And if you can't respect that you can find a different blog.
