Yule ball

Ingredients:

🌙 salt/sea salt, pine needles, dried rose petals, rosemary, dried orange peel, lavender, star anise, *coffee beans

Process:

🌙 First add the salt, then your herbs. After this you can add *optional items like crystals, ribbons, sigils, ...

As you add your items, state your intent and the purpose of each one.

Now you can decide, were to hang youre Yule ball - I prefer it in the corners of the room or near the window.

Please feel free to put other ingredients in it and hang the ball wherever you like. ❤ Try to collect some ingredients outside. 🌙🌲

Witchy-Diy Besom.

Today's witchy D.I.Y is your own Besom!

A Besom by definition is: "a broom made of twigs tied around a stick."

A Besom can be used in many ways:

Cleansing, purification, protection and more.

The traditional magical formula includes a bundle of birch twigs, a staff of ash or oak, and a binding made from willow wands.

However, this is not the only way, I used what I had around me to create my own. Here is how:

My supply:

-A larg stick fallen from a tree.

- Wild oat or possibly common reed

(I am not amazing with plant identification yet.)

I spoke with the plant asked to take befor I did, during the process I was filled with positivity as I told it about my work. Taking hold of a few and waiting a moment befor cutting. Afterwards I thanked it with some water.

Returning home I sat down and slowly parted each one taking off dead leaves and putting them into my compost.

I then found I had enough for a smaller one to test. So I did. Using brown embroidery floss I put them on with the handle inside then bent them down and around tieing a second one time.

Tada! Two wonderful Besom's! Down side, the reeds did snap during the last step but from afar it's hard to tell.

All in all it was a success. There is a little fall out off seeds but not bad.
