Zones of Outland
1. Nagrand- First and foremost, it’s a beautiful zone. Animals and lush lands are everywhere. Then, there’s my love of doing Nesingway quests (not quire sure why, other than it’s easy to relax). Whenever I level a hunter (or any character that fits the aesthetic), I always take them questing for Nesingwary’s expedition.
2. Zangermarsh- The atmosphere is great here as well, with the towering mushrooms and dreary blues. I loved seeing the broken draenei here, as well as working with the Cenarion Expedition throughout the questing experience.
3. Netherstorm- There are few zones that can pull off the brighter look while still feeling serious. Flying through the area inspires both awe and unease, as the design of the zone is beautiful, but the Sin’dorei’s activities there make it feel as though you shouldn’t be there.
Major Cities
1. Thunderbluff- The first thing I think of when it comes to Thunderbluff is that peaceful music, which helps me calm down after a rough day. The city on the mesas is visually stunning from an architectural and gameplay point of view as well.
2. Undercity- The city’s layout is delightful, if not confusing the first few times around. Their Easter eggs are some of my favorites as well, particularly with the references to Shakespear and Warcraft 3. Every time I run through Ruins of Lordaeron or visit the Royal Chambers, I find myself wanting to log out and create a forsaken character.
3. Stormwind- Although it didn’t seem like much at first, I found myself loving this city. There’s all sorts of niches and details to explore, only enriched by the city’s soundtrack. Stormwind strikes me as this cozy city I’d want to live in if I lived in the Warcraft universe.
Female characters
1. Sylvanas Windrunner- The former Ranger General of Silvermoon, Sylvanas’ story is one got to me when I first heard it. You could hear the sorrow in her version of the Lament of the Highborne, seeing her die for her people only to be raised to destroy them. Further progress up through Cata only made my heart hurt for how far she’s fallen.
2. Tyrande Whisperwind- As the High Priestess of Elune and leader of her people, Tyrande is the pinnacle of what I love about the Kal’dorei. In the books, she’s an incredible priestess and warrior, taking nobody’s shit. I especially love her relationship with Shandris Feathermoon.
3. Taretha Foxton- Friend to the future warchief Thrall, Taretha had such a simple yet heartbreaking story to her. She aided him in freeing the other orcs from the internment camp, only to be executed for her actions. All I can say is that I’m grateful she’s been able to rest in peace.
Thank you @nesuna-nightwinter!
