I thought Mallory Ortberg was just trying to be a voice of reason when she said writers were being entitled jerks for complaining about the Amtrak Residency's rights grab.  It turns out that the site she edits (The Toast) engages in a similar rights grab for WAY below professional rates.  I'm so not shocked, but extremely disappointed.

This is no accident.  This is an ideology of underpaying and not respecting writers.
