Good Morning, 💭 How are you today? Feels like it’s been a minute since we really chatted. Like deep talk, real talk, keep it 100 kind of perspective. Life sure does know how to test us, twist and turn us. Flip us upside down, round and round again kind of tests for us. I mean did you ever imagine this life would be possible? Or that you’d have to face all the things you have in order to find it? I dunno maybe it’s just me... but I feel like I’ve touched #magic, and yet I’m still on a journey of #selfdiscovery. As if everyday I wake and life continues to feel like a trip. I feel blessed by it. I mean, isn’t it special that every moment we have the ability to access something within us, that acts as this subtle reminder to hold faith and trust everything that is happening.... happens for a reason, even when things get hard. We somehow know, “they could always be harder”. So I’m feeling pretty grateful, how about you? Ya, life can get hard, but it can also flow smooth, and still... and that feeling, to be honest, I used to be scared of too. Because I feared the idea of what it meant... change. I get it, there’s a life balance to be had, and change is something we need. But what will change bring? Oh life, it remains such a mystery, wouldn’t you agree? With love... Concept Chronicles 5: Heart Beat One of my favourite, well written, best delivered, metaphorical, fun and eye opening songs at the time. In the Oct/Nov 2012, me and @naylor_25 recorded Heart beat and was one the many experiences I had. During the times after we done KiiD Supa/K.w.D we tried our own thing and it went pretty well to be fair. Matt got in touch with a producer and he gave us a beat and from there we got writing. We spent quite a while developing the lyrics and it took the most takes we had ever done. But we got it done. Matt was even did all the animation and designs for us on a laptop that barely ran in a shared room with his brother and barely any room to sit and do stuff 😅. This was the first full 16 i had ever committed to memory. Even now I'm so proud of it ❤️ I wish I could remember more details from back then. But after this track, is what lead us on to other collabs and got me wanting to chase a career out of it. Is Google Making Us Stupid?

In the handout, “Is Google Making Us Stupid” by Nicholas Carr, the author focuses on how because of technology and the internet, humans are finding reading a much more difficult task to complete. He mentions how while online, the majority are no longer looking to read articles or texts, but instead quite the opposite. People are now going online to dodge reading. When presented with something online that has a larger amount of words (let’s say more than a couple sentences) people are more likely to skim through the text, or even skip it entirely, rather than reading what the article has to say.

I am unsure as to whether I completely agree with this statement or not. Indeed there is much more electronic and Internet activity nowadays, however not everyone chooses to skim through a reading, or finds it difficult to get through a book. There are those few people who enjoy the act of reading, and will go anywhere, even online, to find it. I also think that the online world can possibly enhance reading in today’s time. If you live somewhere (say Shanghai) then it is very likely that you may not be able to find a book that you wish to read, however if you go online you may be able to find the book directly by Googling your book, and then you will be able to read it. The Internet has many different ways to access various types of readings.  There are so many more options out on the internet, than there are in a local book store. With this knowledge, people who are even slightly intrigued by what they find can simply type in the book title, and read from right there. There are also many ways in which people can get online books such as a kindle, iPad, and even on your phone.

I do not completely agree with what Carr is saying about how because of technology, people are less entitled to read or less engaged by reading, because I do believe that there are many ways in which technology can enhance our reading. Although I do enjoy reading from a hard copy of a book rather than from on my computer, the computer and the Internet still give people the option.
