Writing Prompt #2
“I thought you hated me?” She teased tilting my chin up with a finger.
“Things change...” I muttered.
“Your cute when you don’t want to admit things aloud, you know. Go on just say you love me.”
“ Uhh... look! There’s a food cart over there selling hot dogs!” I’m not proud of it, but I ran towards the cart. These feelings were to new and too raw. Being called out on them made him uncomfortable. I had thought I hated her since sixth grade. Now here they were, college students. Standing on a busy street in NYC. College students ready to take on the world. Maybe I never really hated her. After all I did give her my phone number. It took me a while but i did respond to her texts. Maybe... I’ve always loved her...?
