I know prehistoric humans in this region actually did a lot of work to cultivate oak forests at some point, this came up in archaeology courses, they probably did that on purpose. But an oak also is very much a tree that plants itself. Specifically a tree that keeps planting itself in my garden, where there is no room for oak trees.
