Three Years! I'm Sorry.
If you lot couldn't've guessed, the AU went on hiatus barely before it could get off of its feet. Incredible cosmic irony there.
However! I did go in and improve the appearance of the first two parts of the writeup for you lot's viewing pleasure. Take it as an apology for accidentally killing this AU by doing absolutely nothing. So it goes!

An Unpleasant (But Not Horrible) Update
Hey all! I want to get this update out of the way (better now when the AU’s just getting started) so that you all can know what to expect from the Tales Doubled AU in the future!
In short: I’m not happy with how this AU is structured.
It’s got a lot of weak points and not a whole lot of form. There are good ideas, but none of it is put together into something that could be considered cohesive. I want this to be an AU that I feel good about working on the entire way (even if I hit points of grind), but I don’t want this AU to be some cookie cutter AU with buttercream icing. I want it to be something different.
So, I will be going on hiatus, but this time I’m actually admitting that I’m going on hiatus. Just long enough so I can really build a structure to this AU, organize it, and get something that I would actually enjoy working on, and something that people would actually enjoy reading.
I hope the five people who follow this account understand, and I hope I can come back soon with something far more presentable and pleasant to read!

Part Two is Out!
Let me preface this post with an apology. This took way too much time for what’s actually there. I struggle getting inspiration to work on this AU, so it takes me a bit to get up off my lazy butt to work on this AU.
That being said, the Leaf Pile to the Mousehole is complete.

This part focuses on introducing some of the new RUINS enemies that come with this AU. Some enemies will have a partner, some won’t, others might have partners that work in conjunction with other monsters, etc.
I know this part might be kinda disappointing, but I hope y’all still enjoy it.

I know that this hiatus is kinda unprecedented (especially since I’ve only posted the first part of Tales Doubled) but I’ve been working with a couple other writing projects and this one just kinda got put to the wayside for a bit.
I will return soon with more interesting stuff. But for now, be sure to hit up my ask box so I can fill the story with some idle chatter while y’all wait!
On a smaller note, expect the docs to be refined and their formats change as I write out this story and make improvements in design in the future.
