Teaching our children goes beyond the classroom as they learn to be a responsible part of the neighbourhood and to show empathy and care for each other especially during such time when people lives in anxiety and fear. Every little effort counts. Good job kids!
Great bonding activity for the family as we take part in the Strait Times, "STay Home, STay Safe" colouring challenge with 7 art pieces to submit to compete for the $5000 prize money. Great way to keep ourselves sane and safe!
PM Lee on 21 April 2020 announced tighter measures to the Circuit Breaker period, to further reduce the transmission of COVID-19. He also announced that the Circuit Breaker period will be extended by another 4 weeks until 1 June 2020 (inclusive). This means our family will have a longer time to be at home with each other. Think I have to think of more creative activities to engage the kids for the prolong period. Also praying hard that this whole saga of the Covid-19 will be over soon to get our life back to normal. NMHRGK!
Nice Dalgona coffee hand whipped by Tricia for daddy and mummy on a Tuesday morning. Such a nice blend to give us the "pump" to start the day. Thanks Tricia.
Triven's Living Santuary Kindergarten (HBL) compilation from 8th to 20th April 2020. He has load of fun and he enjoyed the many surprise story telling times from Mrs Elsie Tan. Great efforts and much thoughts for the kids. He really miss LSK and he is counting down the days towards 5th of May to get back to school soon. Thank you LSK!

Nice and comfortable double layer cloth mask for the family. Will not leave home without it now.
The kids competing who can place their fingers on the floor and stretch the longest. Nila also trying to take part I guess. Ģ
Tristen serving balls to his brother, Triven in a table tennis training exercise! Their table tennis trainings that we put into their “stay-home-stay-safe” calendar allows them to stay healthy during this period of time! It is such a good thing that at this time they still can take part in healthy activities indoors together apart from playing toys and watching TV.
Having the luxury of time to prepare nice great breakfast for the kids was one of the most amazing experience ever.
Nice father and son time with Tristen as we have more time together during this period through exercising. Definitely will step up and achieve more laps with him over time. Good job Tristen!
Tricia, Tristen & Triven gave their helping hands to tidy up our humble garden and swept the common corridor. A scene we can hardly catch during busy times! Great job kids!
Triven’s favourite toy time! To build and rebuild imaginative structures with his Lego bricks. It challenges his creative mind and observation around him. This piece shows a cosy pet house for his cat with a room, a shower area and a backyard. Endless ideas and creation flowing at the play corner!
Mummy inspired Tristen to embark on a Roald Dahl story reading adventure. It was indeed a series of great classics that Tristen enjoyed reading. To make it more engaging, we got him to share the stories over the lunch and dinner table with the family. We also gone into a Roald Dahl movies marathon where we will be watching some of the highly acclaimed movie remake of these books like: “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “The Witches”, “Esio Trot” & “The Fantastic Mr. Fox”.
Our kids' favourite past time now is to play with their new found friend, Nila during this period of time at home. We adopted Nila on the 1st of Feb 2020, before the Covid-19 situation became more serious. I guess it sure was a great coincidence!
Home Based Learning (HBL). A period of time that most parents only come across once or twice a year during normal school terms. Now during Circuit Breaker period, it is “HBL full scale” with full schedule for the entire month with the children. Tricia, my Sec 4 girl is “Zooming” her way through from 830 to 12noon, Tristen's HBL involves online exercises and many more activities. Triven's HBL is interesting and engaging. His lessons covers english songs, math practices, chinese and occasional storytelling sessions which he enjoys the most!
Diary on a stormy time
Decided to start this online journal with my family during this period where many things seems to be in a stand- still mode and we could hardly do anything about it. This period is called “the circuit breaker” in Singapore (Apr 7th to May 4th 2020). All schools, businesses and services were put on hold, with the exception of essential services. Though we are seemingly trapped within the multiple uncertainties and anxieties during this period, we manage to find joy and great family time together. We hope to find value and greater meaning to life. To spend more quality time with each other and look into the inner voice that we have in our lives. It is our mindset that will decide what we walk out of this circuit breaker with.
