Sheikh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله said,
"If you train yourself to pardon people,
your soul will relax,
your heart will be tranquil
and your rank will become great with Allah and with his slaves."

When a person supplicates, they admit inability and dependence upon their Creator, and this humility honours the supplicant. So the more they invoke Allah, the more dignified and noble they are to Him:
There is nothing more noble to Allah than du'a.
• صحيح الترمذي (٣٣٧٠)
You’re rich
And you don’t even know it
You look at your bank account
& you’re just about making ends meet
- But you hear the laugh of your family
- You’re not in chronic pain
- You have access to knowledge
- Allah (SWT) has granted you guidance
- You have clean water
- The roof over your head is not damaged
- You have sisterhood or brotherhood
- You can pick up the phone and call your mum
- Your father still makes dua for you
- You have eyes that can read the Quran
- Ears that can hear the Quran
- A tongue that can recite the Quran
- You don’t need to wonder where your next meal is coming from
You are rich.
You are so extremely rich
But you’re too busy focused on materialism
That you feel poor
And distant
And unfulfilled.

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“The one whose soul craves disobedience but he leaves it for Allāh, those are the ones who Allāh tested their hearts with piety and for them is forgiveness and a tremendous reward."
[al-Fawā’id | 125]
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, When the funeral is ready and the men carry it on their shoulders, if the deceased was righteous it will say, 'Present me (hurriedly),' and if he was not righteous, it will say, 'Woe to it (me)! Where are they taking it (me)?' Its voice is heard by everything except man and if he heard it he would fall unconscious."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 1314]
Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah رحمه اللّه said:
"Do not abandon du’a and do not let (the evil) that you know about yourself prevent you from du’a.
Indeed Allah answered Iblis whilst he is the evil of all creation."
[شعب الإيمان للبيهقي ٢/٣٨٥]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:
"You will find a righteous and virtuous man, distinguished by his beautiful manners,
appearing among the most pleasant-looking people, even if he is not handsome.
This is especially true if he has been blessed with the habit of praying at night,
for indeed, the night prayer brings light and beauty to the face."
[Rawdat al-Muhibbin | Pg. 264]
