Re-reading all 29 original novels because I can

A blog recounting a re-read of the series, running from 2020 through 2021. Goes through book 20, with some extras, including an accompanying podcast.

Despite this project only being a few years old, I cannot seem to find a site with working audio files for the podcast component. If I ever do find a site hosting working copies, I'll post it.

The Cat Who Could Read Backward by Lillian Jackson Braun, Shelf Aware Podcast, 8 May 2023.

Spoiler alert - they were not fans of the book. Though their referring to Qwill’s mustache as “the second furry sleuth” made me laugh. There was also a fun bit about Earl being a literal earl.

Not necessarily worth listening to unless you want a critical viewpoint. I do agree that the first book was very of its time, but the hosts are not particularly willing to meet the book where it is at. It is also worth noting that this is not a cozy mystery specific podcast, and some of the things they had issues with are tropes of the genre.
