Im Cryptid , i mostly ramble about games , nerdstuff and bands. I love science , cars , military tech and got the " I am one Lab accident away from becoming a supervillain" type of tism.

Im willing to answer asks , also i am always glad to have a civil debate.

I hope i find cool people here to play Videogames with , yap about any games i love and get nerdy to hell and back

See i am a big fan of scifi , the more grimdark the better. As such its no wonder i gravitate to books like the entirety of the Battletech (more hard sci fi with lots of present tech and artistic freedom to bring this on a future level) and Warhammer 40000 (more the fantasy all over the top kind of stuff)

A common denominator for these are that they portray a future every sane human being doesnt want to live in , satirical over the top fascism and a catholic church turned to 9000 - or in case of Battletech - civil war on an unprecedented chaotic scale and the Game of Thrones before it was cool

Thats interestingly weird. Alright - i did it so others can think about getting it or leave it.

I played Metal Gear Survive recently and for a Zombie Spinoff its pretty fuckin alright.

The combat and action pace is pretty high and your chronically running outta ammo , you got full basebuilding and all in all its a solid game

Many have shunned it because it broke with the established series harder than Machine Gun Kelly broke with Megan Fox.

Listen i can see why , but MG Revengeance was also a blatant copycat of Devil May Cry.

That being said. If you delete the fact thats in the metal gear verse , youre in for a good scavenging game paired with some funky CQC with Machetes , Hammers and Shovels for example. It doesnt have many guns - but enough to keep you busy.

Big bonus point is the basebuilding - you build nearly everything from scratch and scavved materials.

Story is kinda trashy B-Movie level - but thats pretty often in Zombie game tropes.

It has funny tower defense elements - and multiplayer is fun

Technically speaking your Body is just a meatmech while the pilot (your brain) is forever locked away in darkness in the dark black lightless cage that your skull. Everything you feel is just a datafeed. Your real you is condemned to see this meatmech wither and fail forever till the last support parts cease functioning.

Oh and oilbugs from Australia can secrete their bugblood when in danger and its highly acidic and causes local burns

Most of my friends are like "building a necramech sucks actually and I don't like driving it around anyway and the plot doesn't require it anymore so I'm not sure why you would bother" meanwhile I just like fucking around in open world for two hours at a time and I'm over halfway to being able to build one without even trying. I might be the weirdo in this situation though because I just do everything as Ivara and mostly solo, so of course I like the open world content this much. I've got invisible jellyfrog and pronouns, what did anybody expect?

Maybe I'll build one soon just to stunt on my buddies. AND I'll forma it just to prove a point, because nobody believes the extent to which I'm drowning in forma that I don't have an immediate use for.
