So I was thinking something that might be fun for me would be to release sort of a “directors commentary” edition of some of my fanfics after they’re finished completely separate so you can still experience the original story without me butting in every two paragraphs to either yap about characterization or to make a joke or something. Would you be interested in that? It probably wouldn’t be as professional as an actual directors commentary but it might be fun to yap about certain stories and behind the scenes stuff that I can’t include in the authors notes.
(The first one I would drop would probably be for ‘Cause you are half of happiness since that’s my most popular fic right now and also the closest to completion)
Actually I’m not sure about the number of chapters for sure, but plot wise we’re at the turning point so regardless.

Adrien patted her shoulder sympathetically but kept giggling that stupidly adorable giggle of his,”Not that I believe her, but with your luck I wouldn’t be surprised.”
“On my mother’s side? She would’ve been killed years ago for her incompetence.” Marinette scoffed. If she couldn’t live up to the league’s expectations there was no way Rossi could.
She really did start to sound like her brother when she was tired huh?
The most embarrassing injury happened to me this afternoon when I slammed into one of the poles of my bed and now my little toe is probably broken. It’s not like in major pain or anything and I can walk slowly, I just can’t move it without it hurting. Wasn’t even that big of a crash I was more surprised than anything.
You know how I said one of these days I would info-dump everything I have about my ocs? This is that day. Not everything mostly because I have a bunch of miscellaneous skits and stuff that I just keep in my head and don’t write down but also because I want it to be feasible for people to read this. So, if you’re curious because I have so much more I could talk about, feel free to send an ask or something! That being said below the cutoff is a lot of words so don’t click on it if you don’t feel like scrolling past or reading!
One thing I have to clarify before anything else is that these guys are *heavily* inspired by DC and Batman in particular so there’s going to be a lot of stuff that looks similar, I tend to do this a lot with media I enjoy where I take the premise or a character arc that I like and make a character out of it while I’m consuming whatever media it is, I just got way more attached this time lol. So!
To begin with, Stephanie!…I didn’t know that Spoiler existed when I named her and when I found out it was too late. Anywhoo, my girl, my eldest daughter syndrome totally-not-projecting superhero. She was adopted when she was five after either her parents died when she was a baby or they abandoned her- it’s not important so I haven’t decided- by a man named Luke (who I don’t have as much stuff for so idk if he’ll be here but we love him <3) a 23 year old superhero with too much money and time on his hands and such a big heart so he thought “Hey what’s one kid, I’m sure it’ll be fine and she needs a home anyway.” After she followed him home one day. It did not stay as one kid but no one can say he didn’t try. Only one of them was actually his fault. But anyway, Steph has two modes: energetic, rambunctious, somewhat reckless older sister, or overprotective helicopter sibling who’s a stickler for the rules. I call the latter “work mode” because it’s how she acts when the suit is on, but there was an unfortunate stretch of time where she was always in work mode for about seven years due to an incident with one of her younger siblings.
Speaking of which, Carter! My angsty boy who misses his family so so much but refuses to talk to them. He lives on his own ever since an incident when he was twelve where he lost his powers and went missing, later declared dead even though he wasn’t, and works as a vigilante plotting to take down the hero agency that I still have to name. Him and Steph have the most complicated relationship, because on the one hand that’s his older sister and he misses her and wishes things could go back to normal but on the other hand she keeps siding with the agency and trying to justify what happened to him. (be nice to her they’re both wrong for different reasons, Stephanie is doubling down on some of the things she was taught growing up and Carter is choosing to isolate and lash out rather than fixing the problem, that’s what character arcs are for) He’s fine with his younger siblings if a bit distant, and he’s avoided his dad like the plague for the last seven years because he knows the second the two of them sit down and talk that he’ll fold and come home immediately, and Carter isn’t ready to admit that this all might’ve been a waste of time. It wasn’t, he’s grown a lot but he’s also kinda slowly deteriorating from the inside out because of loneliness so the sooner he comes home the better. (Also he’s trans because when I first imagined this I had him as a girl but then there wasn’t any guys so I gave him hrt and tossed his ponytail at Steph)
Allison is a character I sometimes struggle with but I’ve recently got a bit more settled with how I characterize her so I have enough to talk about. Her parents were both evil scientists who donated their baby to the underground lab they worked for to experiment on, leading to her being isolated for her early childhood until she was rescued in a raid on the lab and adopted into the family. She actually has two powers which was the goal of the experiments, she can read people’s souls naturally and the one they gave her was to shift through non living things. Due to the fact that it wasn’t natural and didn’t mesh with her body all that well she has to consciously keep that ability from triggering, so when she’s sleep deprived (which is often) she’ll kinda sink through the floors until her siblings wrangle her into taking a nap. Allie has complicated feelings towards her older siblings, Steph barely let her outside alone for like a year after Carter’s disappearance (she never believed he was dead) and Carter just abandoned her and the rest of the family, but in the end she loves them and wishes things could go back to normal.
I don’t have a transition for Justin so here’s the baby! By the time I was plotting his character I was really determined not to make him Damian so I struggled with hit personality for a while until my mom suggested that he be quiet and mysterious and it clicked. For a little bit after he was adopted he was just straight up selectively mute due to some backstory stuff that I haven’t figured out just yet, but he’s better now and can talk for ages with someone he’s comfortable with about a topic he’s passionate about. He loves Steph and Allie but never actually met Carter outside of brief encounters on patrol which he was quickly taken away from, so he has a hard time understanding that they are technically legally brothers. Once Carter comes back he’s even more confused because he didn’t realize just how broken this family was becoming until it started to heal, and now he’s trying to understand why Steph is being so irresponsible and loud, why Allie is actually acting her age, how he never noticed just how tense Luke was whenever they left the house until he started seeing them off with a smile.
Believe you me I have so many more thoughts and feelings but this has already taken me a long time to type out so now I reveal my grand master plan of now I get to yap about them whenever I want so I don’t have to go over everything in this! There’s more characters, lore, headcanons, certain plot points I didn’t elaborate on and so much more so once again if you’re at all interested and have any questions because I worded something weird or whatever, feel free to send me an ask or a dm or whatever.

Tim hadn’t meant for that to come out as harsh as it did, but she frowned. “I don’t appreciate being interrogated.” Multimouse huffed and turned away, strangely childish all of a sudden.
He rolled his eyes,”Well there’s not much I can do about that unless you answer my questions.” They couldn’t just let an unknown potential meta run around the city willy-nilly.
“Don’t feel like it.” She continued pouting until she suddenly pointed at something at the entrance to the alleyway,”Behind you!”
Damn they got me. I’ll admit it, I was expecting a silly movie with a fun mystery that would make me laugh a few times and be a good moviegoing experience but first of all 1) made me cry MULTIPLE TIMES I have to emphasize I do not cry easily during movies that was crazy 2) I actually didn’t know who it was but I didn’t feel like they pulled it out of nowhere to have a conclusion so neat.
Spoilers below the cut but BEFORE YOU CLICK ON IT part of the reason it made me cry as much as it did was because it caught me off guard and I really recommend going in blind! You have been warned!
So I wasn’t expecting the fucking sheep to die oh my goodness gracious that caught me so off guard. I was fully expecting him adopting the winter lamb at the end and integrating into the flock, maybe a romance between him and Lily but I wasn’t rooting for it just expecting it. And then he just. Died. Crazy stuff man. And then like two scenes later George’s ghost popped up RIGHT as I was recovering and oh boy there go the tears. So then I’m normal for the rest of the movie and I’m like “ok I’m fine there probably won’t be anything at the end here to make me upset”
And then.
They fucking named the winter lamb George. Like I probably should’ve seen that coming but you have to understand I thought I was safe I wasn’t prepared for one last gut punch. Like golly gee willickers (however the hell you spell that idk) I was not PREPARED. God I talk like an old man. I’m tired and rambly and emotional goodbye.

It looked like he had more questions but Marinette held up a hand to stop him,”If you intend on interrogating us further it is only fair that we ask you some questions in return.”
Jason leaned over to Nino, faux whispering loudly,”Does she always talk like this?” Rude. It wasn’t her fault she was raised in a cult so her default way of speaking wasn’t considered normal.
Her traitor of a friend rolled his eyes,”She’s sleep deprived roll with it.” Forget Nino she would hang out by herself that day.
Not-so-pro-tip: If you’re struggling with the dialogue for a chapter go to your notes app and just write it out like a script without any physical description at all. I wish I could give you a legit sounding reason why this works but the best I got is just forcing your brain to only think of the dialogue makes it sound a little more natural.
My crack theory about the next playable race in Evercold has absolutely no proof lore-wise but I think it’s plausible let me have this-

we already have a model for what they could generally look like with Meteion (although I would prefer if they were a little taller personally but she’s kinda supposed to be a child anyways so that would probably be the case) and with the mount series in Dawntrail being big ol’ wings I can see people getting them to match their bird person since actually giving a race wings like that would probably be a pain
I personally think it would work best if we went the route that cats did and give them one anime girl just-a-human-with-wings and one that’s closer to non-human with like a beak and stuff! I personally don’t care which order they release in if that’s the case I just ask that they aren’t gender locked so we don’t have to wait four expansions pretty please

I’m trying to build a little bit more of an audience for my fics so I’m gonna try and give a little bit of the premise of my upcoming WIP:
Basically just Marinette swapping miraculous and hero-sonas constantly to gaslight the batfam into believing there’s an entire team that somehow infiltrated Gotham without them knowing. She meanwhile is also messing with Tim, promising that if he can piece together MDC’s identity she’ll get him a free commission as the designer’s personal assistant.
We used to only look at the sky, terrified of the bombs. Now, we have to look at the ground too. Huge rats are spreading everywhere in Gaza, and we have no way to stop them. They are reaching our tents and biting our children while they sleep. This is the nightmare we are living right now.
