Confinement :
TLC-AO-122-A is contained in a classic NT-object vault in the archival wing of Site G, no further procedures or security measures apply. Access to TLC-AO-122-A is restricted to Class B personnel or above.
TLC-AO-122-B is contained in a 50 by 50 by 50 meters reinforced cell 100 meters underground to avoid any containment breach in case of unauthorized access to TLC-AO-122-A. TLC-AO-122-Bâs cell contain foliage and a grass floor in order to mimic a jungle-like environment. Access to TLC-AO-122-B is restricted to Class D personnel or above.
If a containment breach was to happen, all effort are to be directed toward finding TLC-AO-122-A and stopping its use, A specially trained intervention squad will subdue, distract or contain TLC-AO-122-B for as long as needed.
Final Research Report
TLC-AO-122 is a set of two anomalous object
TLC-AO-122-A is a cassette labeled "plumis ornata imperatoris"
TLC-AO-122-B is a set of partially encased dinosaur fossils
Both TLC-AO-122-A and TLC-AO-122-B have been extracted from the storage room of the Museum of Nature and Science in Denver, Colorado. None of the two objects were in any of the museumâs registers and were found in a recently opened wooden crate labeled âW&W Archivesâ (For more information, please refer to TLC-AB-101)
TLC-AO-122-A is a simple dark green cassette with a white sticker on it, attempt to removing or damaging the sticker have been fruitless and TLC-AO-122-A seems indestructible. The sticker is labeled in black ink, said ink is easily smudged or removed, but will reappear in its original state when TLC-AO-122-A is out of view. The inkâs original state reads the Latin words âplumis ornata imperaotisâ, which roughly translate to âornaments and feathers, you reignâ
TLC-AO-112-B is a set of partially encased dinosaur fossils, attempt to damage the fossils or the stone encasing as proven possible. TLC-AO-112-B skeletal structure displays a geological composition usual for fossils, however this composition is only surface level, as a slight perforation of the skeletal structure will reveal actual bones. TLC-AO-112-B does not match any known prehistorical lifeform and instead seems to be a completely unique species.
Whenever TLC-AO-122-A is placed in a cassette reader and played, the only sound that comes out is a mix of static, wind and the occasional faint noise of steps and roars, however when TLC-AO-122-A is in a cassette reader and the ârewindâ button is pressed, TLC-AO-122-B start reforming flesh, muscle, skin and feathers around itâs skeletal structure, destroying the stone encasing it in the process, reanimating the creature from its bones. If TLC-AO-122-B is damaged in any way, pressing the rewind button will first slowly revert any damage sustained, then start the reanimating process.
The foundation decided to nickname TLC-AO-122-Bâs living state the âOrnamented Emperorâ
In terms of size, the Ornamented Emperor rivals the Tyrannosaurus rex, standing slightly taller at approximately 27 meters. It also has longer arms, each ending in just two sharp claws.
One of the most striking features of the Ornamented Emperor is its elaborate "ornaments." These structures, resembling horn-like excrescences, have grown in an almost fractal pattern. They are located along its neck, the back of its head, neck, and the edges of its snout. These ornaments are incredibly durable and play a critical role in the dinosaur's hunting strategy, used to impale and lock its preys in place.
The Ornamented Emperor also posses a reinforced, helmet-like bone structure above its eyes, which it uses to deliver devastating headbutts. And while extremely large and heavy, the Ornamented Emperor is remarkably agile, capable of reaching speeds of up to 45 km/h, but also durable, as it has shown able to smash through multiple meter-thick concrete walls with minimal damage to its thick, armored skin and almost no loss of momentum.
Even if it is extremely aggressive, the Ornamented Emperor has demonstrated surprising intelligence. As it is capable of learning strategies, recognizing non-Aggressive behavior, and even having formed bonds with some of our researchers.
TLC-AO-122-B will stay in its alive state for as long as TLC-AO-122-A is being rewound, but as soon as the âplayâ button on the cassette reader is pressed or that TLC-AO-122-A is removed from the drive, TLC-AO-122-B organic tissues rapidly decays and will slowly revert back to itâs original fossil state, including the partial stones encasing it.
Confinement:
TLC-AO-137 is to be contained in an thermically independent from the rest of the site 10-by-10-by-5-meter square room in Site G. All walls in a nearby 25m radius must either be jagged or built at an angle between 80° and 70°. The nearby rooms are devoid of anomalies and restricted areas, expect for the hallways leading to the containment chamber, the entrance airlock, and the affiliated research lab. The nearby empty room are to contain nine 2 by 4 1-meter thick smooth, blank concrete walls placed perpendicularly to the ground, all facing toward TLC-AO-137âs containment cell to prevent any security breach.
Access to TLC-AO-137 is prohibited unless authorized by B-Level personnel or above for monthly clean-up or experimentation and no destructive objects such as hammers or pickaxes are allowed in the vicinity of TLC-AO-137.
DP-1102
Declaration of Marcus Consmith at the Paranormal Bibliotheca in Chicago, Illinois.
Iâll go straight to the point, Iâm not Marcus Consmith, I know thatâs the name I gave when I entered here and I know itâs the name on my ID, but Iâm not him, I cannot stress enough how much I am not him.
You must understand how real this is, I swear Iâm not crazy but, I have all his memories, all his knowledge, I even have his body, but deep down I know Iâm not him, I know it.
I never thought I would ever be here, or at least Marcus never did, but Iâm not him so I guess it doesnât matter, this place always seemed like a weird art experiment, and kids keep talking about the weird stories you some time publish, you probably donât know how much they love those! Or maybe you do, you probably had a bunch of teenagers coming here with fake stories they came up on the spot after losing a dare, you probably have thousands of those. But I am not here to start the next urban legend, I donât even want you to publish this! But I guess I need someone to talk about it.
Could we keep it relevant to the case?
Yes sorry, I, well Marcus, always worked with kids, at least as long as he could remember, Guidance Counselor he was, always loved to help strays. It was the middle of March when a new kid approached him, Romeo Doe I think his name was, and handed him a small haphazardly written note asking for me⊠Marcus to help him back home, he wanted to help. The kid was an orphan, no parent or relative had been on his register, so Marcus expected Romeo to give him the address of an orphanage, but instead it was an old wooden house with a clean façade and well-kept garden, probably would have been in pristine condition if it wasnât for the few broken windows. Marcus probably thought it was a joke at first, but Romeoâs voice called for him from inside the house, and so he opened the gate and entered the garden.
It was hot in the garden, way hotter than it should have been for early Spring, it was as if the whole place had been stuck in an eternal Summer, I can still feel the warmth in my bone, slightly too hot to be comfortable, and I know it lingers in my soul. When Marcus got to the door and opened it, it wasnât colder, just the same exact warmth as the rest of the garden, I should have ran I know it, yet I walked inside and asked for Romeo. But Marcus was met with silence, so he walked along the hallway across the staircase and throughout the first floor, looking for that kid, but nothing was there expect the old furniture of a house misplaced in time, for the large ornaments in every corners, for the empty frames lining the walls. So he climbed the staircase and had gone onto the next floor.
It was weirder up there, the still air still as hot as in the garden, the rooms still has old as the other, yet it felt different, and I could have swore I saw one of the wall move slightly. I walked inside and cautiously adventured even deeper, looking for that kid, at this point I donât know if I continued because I thought Romeo was in real danger or because I thought it was a prank and wanted to get back at him, but I continued either way, and thatâs when I found itâŠ
âŠThatâs when Marcus found it. A narrow hallway, the top of it way higher than necessary, with blank concrete walls, not wallpaper, no empty frames not furniture, just a blank concrete hallways, empty of everything but a red doorway painted on one of the wall, similar to those markings you see on a construction site, and over it was spraypainted in black a sentence âThis is not a doorâ, the paint seemed fresh, I could still see and smell floating particles in the stagnant air of the hallways which was just slightly hotter than the rest of the house, not enough to make a difference, but enough to be barely noticeable.
And Marcus reached his hand to touch the paint to see if it was truly fresh, but instead of the texture we expected, our hand met nothing, nothing at all, it had gone through the wall. And I still donât know why we did it, I know horror should have surged throughout our body, but instead it was a mix of a pure unaltered curiosity, and a sweet cold breeze. And so we reached deeper, our wall arm was inside now, and we still reached nothing, and we walked inside, fully immerse in that weird feeling of soothing cold.
But only I walked out.
Marcus was gone and I had taken his place, the cold replace with that aching warmth once again, but it was deeper than before, as if it was telling me that this wasnât my place, that I shouldnât be here, that I shouldnât be at all.
This warmth it, it filled me with rage, and without thinking I franticly searched for anything big enough in the house to damage the wall, anything to break that door and make this warmth stop, I somehow knew that the room was only hot because of that door, that destroying it was the only way for Marcus to come back, to take back his place, and as soon as I found an old iron mace, I rushed back to the empty hallway and, with all my strength, threw it at the door, leaving a huge dent in the wall, and I kept hitting the wall over and over again, Iâm pretty sure the door was gone after the first impact but I just couldnât stop hitting that wall, it was still so hot and I was so angry, I think I finally let go of the mace after twenty or so minutes, and I turned back to leave, only for my eyes to lock onto the other wall, at the edge of the hallway, there it was in the exact same condition as before, the doorway was still there, but in a different spot, and Iâll be honest I fled right here and there, this was too much and I didnât know what else to do, so I ran down the staircase and through the garden, but even as I left it the warmth was still there, it just didnât leave.
Itâs been three day since, Iâve been locked in my apartment, locking myself is the only way I found to stop myself from rushing back there and destroying that thing, I canât sleep anymore, all I think about is this frame itâs like it burned itâs image in my retina. I needed to gather all my strength to get myself here, Iâm still not sure if I believe youâre a serious organisation, Marcus Consmith sure didnât, but at this point Iâll take whatever I can get.
Additional information:
The following day, Marcus Consmith was accompanied to the closest TimeLapse containment site for further research and an amnestic treatment while a small task force was sent to the location of said âold houseâ, further research in Marcus Consmithâs declaration reveal that Romeo Doe did not exist, no documents, no register, nothing was assigned under the name âRomeo Doeâ that could correspond to Marcus Consmithâs description of a young boy.
The task force reported the presence of said âDoorwayâ as well as a deep dent in the opposite wall, confirming Marcus Consmithâs declaration. Furthermore, they also declared the presence of a strange heat in the vicinity of the house. Since Marcus Consmithâs experience with this doorway, no on-site tests were made and it was decided to try and move the door to the nearby Site G. This was done after separating the portion of the wall with the doorway from the rest of the house and extracting it via the roof using a helicopter and a harness.
Research Report on Site G after the Arrival of TLC-AO-137 and witness Marcus Consmith whose anomalous properties are linked. By Dr Maria Keal, Level C
Iâm making this so soon because of the security problems TLC-AO-137 poses now, and why we need further research into how to contain it. As of now TLC-AO-137 is contained in a maintenance hallway, now restricted, instead of a classic temporary holding cell due to weird events following itâs second encounter with Marcus.
Marcus Consmith was brought to the Psychological and Amnestic center of site G about 3 hours before TLC-10-137 was here, The following interrogation did not bring any new information as the subject kept saying that he was not Marcus Consmith. Even weirder, classic amnestic treatment did not work on him, even up to class 4, so it was decided to use an intraosseous class 8 amnestic, but any needle did not seem to be able to penetrate deeper than Marcus Consmithâs skin.
Further anomalous manifestations happen at the arrival of TLC-AO-137 in vicinity, as it directly impacted Marcus Consmith, leaving him staring at a wall in the direction of the mobile storage unit where it was located, following it with his eyes wherever it moved. As soon as TLC-AO-137 was removed from the mobile storage unit and stopped moving, Marcus Consmith stared at it for a few seconds before bursting through a nearby wall and rushing toward the anomaly with an extraordinary strength.
I couldnât hold him back, Iâm an ordinary researcher, not a guard or one of our anomalous agents, so when he surged out of his static state, I couldnât do much expect rush after him, I did catch up but slightly too late, Marcus Consmith was hitting TLC-AO-137 with a crowbar, and whenever he was able to put a dent in it, the doorway moved to a nearby wall and he would rush to itâs new location.
A security team was dispatched quickly and tried to restrain him, but in the struggle Marcus Consmith fell and hit his head on the floor, he didnât hit the floor that had and didnât fall with that much speed.
Yet it still killed him on the spot, chunks of his head had literally broken off the rest of his body, they were of pure white, untainted by any drop of blood, with intricate design of golden patterns and blue flowers, further analysis of Marcus Consmithâs Corpse revealed that outside of a small layer of skin that had quickly disintegrated after his death, his body was entirely comprised of the same white porcelain-like ceramic, the inside side covered with those blue flowers and golden pattern almost like a pristine Japanese vase, even stranger, nothing was in this ceramic shell, it was even empty of air, as if the inside were repelling it away.
Marcus Consmithâs corpse is now sealed in an airtight safe waiting for further research, TLC-AO-137 however as kept being a problem. Since Marcus death it has let out a strange heat around it, it seems to stop at around 10 meters away from it but inside this area itâs unbearable, itâs hot like weâre in the middle of a scorching summer, and sadly TLC-AO-137 is now located on a wall right by the lab.
It caused more problem since, a few researched have tried to reach for the doorframe of TLC-AO-137, almost beckoned by the promise of the cold, even though we all know what it did to Marcus, one guard even managed to get in, probably because he was closer and was supposed to monitor the maintenance hallway it now is located in, and as soon as he emerged back in, the heat was gone once again, but the guard kept saying they were someone else, they didnât know who but they kept insisting that it wasnât their body.
We locked the guard in another room, and since then heat still hasnât returned, but the guard is still trying to breach through, swearing that theyâll break every wall if it means stopping this heat, theyâve grown stronger since too, and I donât think weâll be able to hold them for long, we need to find a way to contain TLC-AO-137 quickly before another casualty, but I fear itâs too late to save that porcelain guard.
TLC-AO-137 is a 2 meter tall by 1 meter wide frame of a door spray painted in red over a flat surface, on it are written in a dozen centimeter tall script made of a visually similar paint, black this time, the sentence âThis is not a doorâ, said text overlaps the red frame in two points as if written over it.
TLC-AO-137 is able to change the molecular composition of the wall, letting objects go trough it, any object placed inside will come back a few seconds after entering, however, any organic material inserted will be changed into a white ceramic, with a composition and texture similar to porcelain, carved and painted in a golden fractal pattern and scarce light blue flowers.
If the organic tissue is animal in origin, it will, when entering the frame, go through a similar transformation, but this time leaving a small layer of skin over it, thick enough to let the subject unknowing of their physiological change. Any of those subjects displaying sentience will be referred to as TLC-AO-137-A
TLC-AO-137-A instances display a severe disillusion with oneâs self existence, rejecting the idea of being who entered TLC-AO-137 after exiting the doorframe. They also display a deep discomfort, claiming to be âtoo warm inside.â TLC-AO-137-A instances will also overtime want to destroy TLC-AO-137 more an more, being closer to TLC-AO-137 seems to aggravate this effect. Instances of TLC-AO-137-A unable to come in contact with TLC-AO-137 due to physical obstacles like walls will grow in strength overtime until able to break through said obstacles.
TLC-AO-137 displays the ability to emit a strong sensation of heat to sentient beings in a 10m radius, but no heat signature can be found; being subject to this heat sensation for longer period of time will slowly lose interest in everything that isnât TLC-AO-137, and long exposure will lead them to try and reach inside TLC-AO-137. Extraction from the 10m radius of TLC-AO-137 for an extended time period will lessen and stop said effects. TLC-AO-137 will stop emitting heat if one or more instances of TLC-AO-137-A exists at a given time.
Termination of TLC-AO-137 as been found impossible, since any destruction of the structure where TLC-AO-137 is will just relocate it to a nearby wall. However further research suggest a tendency for TLC-AO-137 to prioritize available walls in a 25m, only going further if there are no available walls in the area. TLC-AO-137 as also displayed a total inability to relocate onto jagged, damaged or angled surfaces, and will only relocate onto relatively smooth, flat perpendicular walls.
Additional File, Access restricted to Class A personnel or above:
TLC-AO-137 was used in an previous instance of the Pheonix Protocol, as placing material human in origin in TLC-AO-137 would leave them unable to rot, spoil or degrade until the underlying ceramic was broken, this was used on corpse to preserve them so they could be used by Dawn, as their human origin was compactible with TLC-AO-002 and served as host bodies without the drawback of taking over the mind of a sentient host. This was however dropped a few month later after the discovery of another anomaly better suited for this result was discovered, this mixed with the advances in cloning technology would lead to the current instance of the Pheonix Protocol, since TLC-AO-137-based host bodies were easily destroyed due to their thin skin and fragile ceramic frame.
TLC-AA-072, also known by the foundation as "Ozar" is an humanoid begin, likely human or origin, whose skin is tougher and sand-colored, TLC-AA-072's skin is also covered in rocky spots which are incredibly resilient, and slowly reform after being broken and small floras seem to be rooted in their skin, similar in appearance to shrunked-down versions of oak and birch trees. TLC-AA-072 is also capable to speak tunisian, and while interogation about his origins have not been fruitful, TLC-AA-072 seems to be kind and trustworthy, as he says to value all lifeforms.
TLC-AA-072 body also produce a small but strong gravitational pull, very small or light objects placed 2.4 centimeters or closer will get pulled to TLC-AA-072's body, seemingly ignoring earth's gravitational pull, this also let small rivers made of almost pure sweat flow across TLC-AA-072's body, but when those rivers' flow get fast enough and they escape TLC-AA-O72's "orbit", the sweat seems to instantly evaporate.
TLC-AA-072 most peculiar aspect are milmiiter-tall creatures, labelled TLC-AA-072-A thriving on TLC-AA-072's body in a symbiotic relationship.
TLC-AA-072-A have a feline appearance, with varied fur colors and heigts between 0.5 and 1 milimiters, and are seemingly sentient, they are able to build complex structure and seem to have a civilisation level similar to a slightly advanced Renaissance era, after multiple observations, it as been noticed that TLC-AA-072-A instances are mostly aware of our presence, and have developed a complex language and politcial system, efforts are curently made to translate this language, which is mostly helped by the fact TLC-AA-072 has a slight understanding of it.
TLC-AA-072 status as been changed from AB to AA after it asked to become a part of the research team on his file, quickly accepted by the foundation. TLC-AA-072 wisdom and high IQ have been helpful and he has since been promoted to field researcher on Zephir and Mistral anomalies; his high resilience and resistence has been proven useful, and some TLC-AA-072-A instance have been seen to use cannons to fend off anything attacking TLC-AA-072 and have started to develop a technology similar to harpoons to improve their weaponry.
Here are pictures of TLC-AA-072 and one of TLC-AA-072-A instances
TIMELAPSE FOUNDATION ENTRIES COMPREHENSION MANUAL â by : X
Step 1: Register Naming Convention (RNC)
Anything contained by timelapse will have a register; starting with TLC (TimeLapse Containment)
The rest of the register is then separated in three categories:
TLC-AB: âanomalous beingsâ - any living or seemingly sentient being, basically anything that seem to have a mind of its own, including artificial sentience. This classification also contains all anomalous field operative that have stopped working for any reasons; agents are otherwise classified under the register âTLC-AAâ for âanomalous agentâ
TLC-AO: âanomalous objectâ â anything that isnât living or cannot be proved to be sentient; this include objects with complex but predictable behavior; which are more similar to a complex system than a true behavioral reaction from their system; this includes anomalous places.
TLC-AE: âanomalous eventsâ â cannot be contained, includes all events recorded, foretold or purely theoretical. Those do not include: outbreaks, experiments, first discoveries. some events are periodical, the foundation must try itâs best to stop those events, or at least contain the resulting consequences.
The register is ended with the lowest non-attributed number at the time of the discovery. It helps differentiating the anomalies and dating them more easily.
If any anomalies produce/contain more anomalies, the subsequent anomalies listed with the original anomaliesâ register, followed by a letter, from A to Z (if more needed, register is extended from AA to ZZ)
If anomalies are terminated/have disappeared, the register will end with -Ă
Anomaliesâ register will be followed with a surname given by foundation personnel to ease discussions.
Step 2: Classification
There are two types of classification: hazard and comprehension.
Anomalies are ranked between 5 classes depending on their dangerousness level:
0 â Zephir: Benevolent entities or useful objects; Anomalies in this class aid TimeLapse willingly or are used by TimeLapse to their advantage without drawbacks or consequences; almost all anomalous agents are part of the Zephir class.
1 â Mistral: Neutral entities or useless objects; Anomalies in this class poses no threat to TimeLapse or humanity at large, but arenât benevolent/useful. They can aid TimeLapse, but their usage/help will have drawbacks, like unpredictability or special request.
2 â Squall: Slightly dangerous entities and objects; Anomalies in this class poses an extremely low threat and are easily contained/restrained, regardless of their goals.
3 â Tempest: Dangerous entities and objects; Anomalies in this class need to be under constant surveillance either from an audio-visual system or direct contact; Anomalies in this class poses an important threat to global safety and must be contained, containment procedures can be difficult or convoluted.
4 â Typhoon: World-Ending level threat; Any anomalies in this class must be terminated or contained; in a security breach; all efforts must be given to stop those anomalies from escaping containment. Power-Level and Evil intent so high they could lead to an apocalyptic event.
Anomalies are ranked between 3 levels depending of our understanding:
1 â Axion: Totally understood or explainable anomalies, anomalies under this classification are stable and their behavior can be explained, predicted, or are totally understood. No more research is needed on anomalies in this class.
2 â Eidolon: Partially understood anomalies, behavior is mostly mapped out, but incidents are still common and some variables are still unknown; most common class.
3 â Xenolith: Totally unpredictable anomalies; goals and behaviors arenât understood in the slightest, anomalies in this class are minimally to not at all understood
Some anomalies can also fall under non-general classes:
Liminal â Anomalies that takes on a fractal dimension; Shape is undefined and probably unending; Those Anomalies canât be fully explored/understood because of their infinite aspect.
Pyrotechnical â Anomalies with an immediate unstable reaction to air or water; originally reserved to inflammable reaction but now also include: Corrosive abilities, Explosive abilities, and Radioactive abilities.
Memetic â Anomalies with perception-warping abilities; their warping abilities can affect vision, hearing, taste, touch, smell, and instinct. The anomalies ARE NOT able to warp the world around them and only affect PERCEPTION
Multiversal â Includes anomalies whose abilities allow them to interact with other universes and anomalies coming from another universe, regardless of their abilities
Galilean â Anomalies that are now totally explained by science and doesnât bend the laws of physics. Galilean anomalies are still considered as anomalies because they shouldnât exist or their origins are unexplainable; with scienceâs progression, some anomalies can fall under the âGalileanâ class. This class mostly includes artifact whose origin are not historically possible or entities that shouldn't exist according to Darwinâs evolution theory.
Step 3: Localisation
The Site in which the anomalies are contained is also present on the entries, unless it is redacted sensitive information.
There are 12 active containment sites across the globe (A to L) , and three outside of the earth (X1, X2 and α), most of them donât have a specific objective, but some will only contain special type of entities:
Site α is an unique containment site in orbit around Jupiter, it mostly contain extra-terrestrial Zephir entities but also contain TLC-AB-456, one of the most dangerous entities kept in containment by the foundation, and needing an extremely complex containment procedure. Most of the information on TLC-AB-456 is redacted and highly confidential due to itâs threat level. 97% of Site αâs personnel as been automatized and most of the tasks are done by drones.
Site E is located under Antarctica and only contain highly-memetic anomalies.
Site F has been built around TLC-AE-012, a multiversal rift caused by an explosion in a TimeLapse laboratory and that is regularly spitting out anomalies from other universes.
Site L is where the L4âs meeting room is located; The L4 are the top leaders of each branch of TimeLapse, no one is above the L4.
