After watching Encanto and falling in love with the whole family, I couldn’t help but wonder- what if Bruno didn’t just get his gift of getting prophesies, he also got a set of smaller black wings that would appear when he gave people visions. Like, could you imagine the names the village people would call him, “Winged doomsayer”, “Poisoned Harbinger”, “ Vile Angel”.

Or he would get the nicknames “little harpy” or would be called a “lovely parakeet” or even described as a “curious finch” by his family or by people who got to know him better.

And like when he isn’t using his wings to hide in when someone got mad at him or to cover himself for comfort when he’s sad or scared, he lets them rest on people when he’s near them, has the rats hiding in them to keep them warm at night and uses them to seem bigger than he is when someone is being mean to a family member.
